I'm currently on a Dropbox 200GB plan, I've used around 160GB.
This is Google's latest offer
$9.99 per month for 1TB when I currently pay $20 for 200GB on Dropbox
Has anyone here used both a great deal? I guess the only thing I would miss is the Dropbox integration with a lot of programs/apps.

I use OneDrive
But what do you need the storage for? Sensitive information or just general back up?

I would like to backup 5 TB of music, but at current price, it's cheaper just to purchase secondary drives.

I was going to say Amazon offer cloud storage too but it seems Google is a lot cheaper.
I'm using OneDrive.

I try to keep my distance to Google nowadays, whenever I can that is. Currently I use Dropbox but only because the deal is one year of free usage. If it's not absolutely necessary for you to use an online storage I'd go for an external drive.

Network attached storage might suit your needs better.

Wuala is what I use. Probably not for you as their larger plans are quite expensive. But it's far better than dropbox/onedrive/googledrive especially if you are just going to use the free GB.
Google Drive is shit because it doesn't support sym-links so its useless for backup unless I want to move half of my drive into Google Drive folder.
One Drive is shit because it re-uploads the entire file even after a minor modification. And I'm not sure if it handles sym-links either.
Dropbox is fine but Wuala is just plain better because of built-in backup functionality (along with just normal folder syncing), plus a feature full client with full overview of what, when and how it does the syncing.

Well this is interesting as I am just in the process of setting up cloud backup myself. As it turns out, OneDrive does support symlinks by the way.

I'm currently using Derpbox and so far it's serving me nicely, but my "volume" of files is quite limited if compared to yours. I survive well with the free version plus bonuses
(it's mostly because I can't actually use it as much as I want to, since uploading gigabytes of stuff at 30KB/s isn't exactly pleasant)

Yeah, Firedrive is quite cheap, but these 'cloud' drives are only good if you can upload to them at a decent rate I suppose. I mean, what's the point of leaving something to upload all night? Sure its handy, but unless one can upload and go, there is little point? It would be quicker, and cheaper, to transfer on to an external drive and carry it with you, of course, that don't make files available to anyone else, unless they have access to the external drive.
We NEED better upload speeds ISP's lol

Believe it or not.. that's my upload rate too
Years ago I switched to SugarSync and back again, the whole process took around 3 weeks of non stop uploading |
Haha, I really admire your patience . I always desperately try to avoid big files because when I upload stuff my download speed takes a huge hit and brings me back to some 1998-like internet surfing which basically makes the PC offline-only.

I use both, free versions ofc. Don't see any problems so far
