The fantasy drama spin-off, which Martin said has a working title of The Long Night, is reportedly set to film at The Paint Hall in Belfast’s Titanic Quarters.
Created by feature writer Jane Goldman (Kick-Ass, Kingsman) & Martin and written by Goldman, based on a story by her and Martin, the pilot, which was greenlit in June, is set thousands of years before the events of Game Of Thrones. The series is described as chronicling “the world’s descent from the golden Age of Heroes into its darkest hour. And only one thing is for sure: from the horrifying secrets of Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers, the mysteries of the East to the Starks of legend… it’s not the story we think we know.”
oh boy...
they think that since they winged last two terrible seasons they can now run a show lol

Westeros’ history to the true origin of the white walkers
So I'm guessing they're not going to tell us that in the main show, which is now focused on the white walkers, that they're going to end next season, so that they can do it for their spin-off show.
Ohh good...

I wouldn't hold my breath but I'd be happy if I'm wrong.
Atleast its set a few thousand years in the past, so they can make any kind of story they want, having alot of freedom (to fuck it up prolly).
It would've been worse if it took place close to the main series, akin to the two Walking Dead shits. Imagine you had to watch the adventures of Ned Stark's unknown retarded cousin or Sam's origin story, being bullied and spat on by his own father as a kid.
they gotta smoke a lot of blunts to create some spin offs.
this will have incest, titties, betrayal, dragons, dwarfs, and the same characters you've seen before. and some penis.

Milking confirmed then. Think I shouldn't bother with the last season of GoT.
I am pretty sure anyone who thought no more GoT/ASoIAF content is coming after the end of the last season is in delusion, it will also be long after GRRM's death.
Why a prequel? The end gave enough elements to make a part 2 GOT starting from the ashes.
A Targaryan alive, expatriated and with anger. Chief of formidable savage warriors that know no fear. A Dragon lost in the world that only answers to that guy. A new world discovered by Arya ruled by the NK old brother, fisrt of his kind, immune to all weapons known so far. A degenerated kingdom in hands of a cripple that knows all and says nothing to others, manipulates even the mind of the spectators. A kingdom in which the coin master is a known thief and assassin (makes Littlefinger a newborn).

Not to worry since there are 3 spin-offs in the works (one green-lit so far - the prequel).. Also, we're all gonna watch, and we know it

Every one of the concepts under discussion is a prequel, rather than a sequel.
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"
I don't care to find out more about the show's version of WWs, knowing the stupid and pathetic way their story ends.
Bingo. Why would I want to know more about the "iconic" White Walkers when they're one certified bunch of bland wimps with nothing interesting to offer besides being icy clowns? All bark and no (frost)bite really
Although for me this sense of disinterest honestly applies to pretty much anyone from the last few seasons. I've not read the books (and knowing my habits I probably never will), I was simply invested in the show's narrative and its range of multifaceted characters, rich writing and pseudo-realism. At least until the castle of cards didn't start to miserably collapse, the rest is recent macabre history. I've honestly reached the point where even just hearing about anything GoT-related just makes my irked eyebrows do the Clarke dance, I wonder if it will be a permanent feeling.
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."
