For my fiancée. The only real requirement is a long-lasting battery. I have a Acer Aspire TimelineX 4820 myself, but it seems you can't buy them now.

It doesn't have to be new, she won't use it for games (much), but her current laptop holds 2.5 hours tops, while mine easily gets 8+ with moderate use.

It would be great if it was about 2500 PLN (600 EUR, 820 usd)

something with haswell, ssd and no hdd/optical drive should have great battery life.
