I cant say Id see a lot of people looking on ebay for 'reservation scalpers' when trying to find a place to eat last minute in their local area.
I mean even if desperate to find a place last minute, Ive never thought "lets check ebay to see if someone is selling their table"
And at least here, most places that are that popular, on known holidays/busy days require a credit card on deposit incase you dont cancel, to charge you a fee for holding the table from being used.
If its like that there, for everyone you do sell, youd break over the ones you didn't.

Point for garus. Also, pretty much every place that I know around here doesn't take any money up front for reservations, you just have to spend pre-determined amount on the services.
But yeah, the "marketing" could be an issue.

Ah, around here they charge a fee if you don't show up to your card you reserved it with. its only the really high end places, but that's the ones he be aiming for around here.

THIS, they rather go check for another restaurant, or if there is really none left, another idea, before they would even think of checking ebay for such things
