i imagine Monolith wanted to make a fantasy Witcher Clone with a assassin creed take but when they gave this pitch to Warner they said , they will finace it IF this would be a LOTR game
they even said that they needed to tone down complexity of those orc relationship menus , trees..etc..for ps3/x360.
yeah well there is no reason to not do it, I mean x1/ps4 are much more powerful with 8gb ram and more powerful processor

i've very sure you've seen how powerful the X360 was when call of duty 2 came out. Compare it to later games like Crysis 3 if it is your benchmark and see that they were released on the same console. Maybe in a couple of years you'll see the "nextgen" hardware put to good use.
