There are a few series that I haven't kept up with and wondered if it's worth me downloading and catching up. Basically, do you guys like them or are they just meh/ok

Arrow - Watched the first series
Revolution - As above
Person of Interest - Only watched the first few episodes
Spartacus - Watched upto when Andy Whitfield departed
The Bridge (US) - 1st & 2nd episode
The Following - Only watch the 1st & 2nd episode

Spartacus and The Bridge, definitely.

Also quit Person of Durr after a few episodes, supposedly gets better but I wouldn't waste my time with it.

arrow is ok, but a bit corny as expected. Revolution is horrible, watched like 3-5 episodes. Person of interest is actually pretty ok, but it shows that it's a tv show, thats for sure. Spartacus is best for the first season and the prequel, but i would watch it all if i were you. All in all it's pretty awesome, and you'll get used to the new Spartacus, he ain't bad at all.
Only watched the Scandinavian bride "Broen" and it's simply amazing. Don't know which one you're referring to.

The US one but I wouldn't be against watching the original Scandinavian one is it's different/better.

Spartacus and The Bridge. Although I would definitely recommend watching the original tv series the bridge is based on that is Bron/Broen

spartacus is a no. horrible. too much effects in the beginning. if you can stomach such a disgrace in the vfx field. a show that has ages worse and worse every year... either watch it NOW or don't bother. I watched few episodes and couldn't pay attention to anything going on. So much ugly clutter on the screen Sad

arrow is what batman begins is to the batman franchise. realistic shamble of teenage emotion horribly written by hormonal man-children. Fans love it. Regular tv watchers look at is a lol factory.

revolution is nothing worth spending your time on. bad production. bad pre-production. concept is great. but execution is shit. too colourful and too day-time drama ish. OH NO YOUR BROTHER IS ALIVE! AND HE'S YOUR FATHER! OH NO!!!! stupid shit. characters have no depth. Somehow they all have some pseudo history filled with morals and descisions they had to make that turned them into these dull walking blanks. One dimensional dialogue filled with nothing memorable. It's a turn off your brain and laugh at the stupidity kind of a show.

the following is ok if you like kevin bacon. Other than that it's nothing worth watching. A cult with people everywhere. A mad man that women love. A broken man trying to find himself. Nothing interesting happens. Filled with cliches and lollerrific plot twists. OH NO HE'S IN CAHOOTS WITH THE BAD GUY!!!!

Person of interest is pretty much batman without the cape. It's fun. Story moves along nicely. But in the end it's nothing special. Filled with batman like heroics. Jesus is unstoppable. At least here the characters have 1.5 dimensions. They all have a past that actually turned them into the people they are today. If gotham becomes what POI is, then gotham will be worth watching. Don't take it seriously and you'll enjoy the overall story arch.

as for the bridge, what others have said. The ughmerican version has its issues. It's NOT bad, but compared to the original it's weak.

The Bridge (US) - 1st & 2nd episode
The Following - Only watch the 1st & 2nd episode

Arrow - It's almost decent, not worth wasting 40 mins on an episode.
PoI - I stopped watching before the end of the season because I got bored of all the case/episode bs. IMO, it's shit, but some people like it.
Spartacus - Couldn't really watch it after the first season because I didn't really like the actor change. (I know what happened, but still)
The others, I don't really know, except the fact that the original of The Bridge is really good, don't know about the US version.

I don't consider any of those shows "good" though.. If I were you I'd start looking for something else..

Keep in mind, many who stopped watching Spartacus after the first season did so because they couldn't handle the transition between actors.

Keep on watching Spartacus it's worth it. Had troubles with the actor change, I needed a few episodes to get over it tbh.

Revolution: garbage

The rest: Haven't started on it. Only one I'm not trying is Bron/Broen, nothing special about it it's one out of a hundred same shows like it. But never was into those series. Still... think it's overly hyped. A US remake of it will prolly end up being even more bland/cliché in the genre.

Avoid Revolution. I absolutely hated it.

I have also quit Person of Interest after a few episodes, but have started watching it again two weeks ago. Now I'm nearing the end of Season 2, pretty much not having watched anything but it. Waldo explained it nicely, the main guy is unbeatable, like Batman without a cape, but it's still enjoyable.

Haven't seen others.

I really like Revolution, but im a sucker for post apocalyptic type shows.

The Following started out pretty good, but the FBI agents are complete morons, which started to annoy me quite a bit. Would categorise it as 'meh'.

I recall watching a few episodes of Person If Intrest, but cant remember anything about it, so obviously it wasent something i was interested in.

Watched season two of Spartacus, was pretty good. Not sure why i never got around to watch the others.

Havent watched the others.

Just quitted Person of Interest when I suddenly realised I didnt care about the plot anymore.

Spartacus is good fun the first 2 seasons (funny enough I like the prequel the best, but then again I adore the boardgame based on these series and the prequel is hard on gladiator house fun!). Season 3-4 got relegated to "watch while playing something turn based".

Liked first season of The Following, season 2 just started and its off to a bit of a boring start plotwise for my tastes.

Arrow is supposed only to get better, but I found the first couple of episodes really bad.

#3 arrow - mediocre overall but not bad if you like DC

Arrow - it has some half-decent sequences, but not really worth the 40 mins.
Revolution - NO (I cant stop watching this even though its quite bad)
Person of Interest - Yes, it gets pretty interesting and although the main guy is mostly undefeatable, the character interactions and action sequences are fun to watch. Interesting main story arcs and long-term antagonists as well. Stick with it and you will not be disappointed.
Spartacus - Entertaining if you like movies such as 300. Expect CG-heavy action/gore and tons of sex Very Happy
The Bridge (US) - Started out nicely, but then fell into old traps. Hated the reveal of S1 bad guy's motivations; it was much more interesting when it pointed towards the Mexico-US contrast.
The Following - Haven't seen this and am not going to

Arrow - well it's based on a mainstream american comics so don't expect much, but it isn't bad and kind of more mature. Watchable, DC fans masturbate to it.

Revolution - only for lulz, the second season is better than season one. It was the most stupid series of 2012-2013. Overall a big NO, people who watch it (including me) do it to see how terrible it can be.

Person of Interest - it can be good to the point of excellent episodes. But as some people stated before the protagonists are unstoppable badasses and that might be putting off. But the characters are fun to watch, there are some interesting concepts behind it and it has cyberpunk vibe to it.

Spartacus and Bridge - have not seen any of it.

The Following - utter garbage. Interesting concept, destroyed by lazy writing and idiot characters...

Watch the original Bridge, you can get the second series (well the first 6 episodes, with 4 left) of the iPlayer ( http://www.infradead.org/get_iplayer/html/get_iplayer.html ) too.

Anyone seen 'Reign'?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2710394/

I started watching 'Dads' the other day. Its pretty good. Seems to be the same production company responsible for Family Guy and American Dad and is a sitcom starring Seth Green, Giovanni Ribisi and their two onscreen fathers.

Person of Interest starts a bit meh in its first season with episodes focusing on individual cases but it gets more into the overarching story in the second, and especially third (current) seasons and that makes it a lot better imo.

If the premise is at least interesting to you and you don't mind watching Jim Caviezel being an unbeatable badass then you will like and love what they do in seasons 2 and 3.

I definitely would not call it shit like it's been called in the thread...I've seen far, far, far, far worse Smile

How are everyone supermodels? The girl arent that pretty, and the rest is mostly men.
Also i dont see how any of it is teen drama. I understand most people here think the show is crap, and thas fair enough, but supermodels and teen drama is not at all what this show is about.
