Is it true that you have to be either from US, UK or Canada to start a project?! That's lame I thought kickstarter was cool and like.. wordly, anyone from anywhere can start to fund a game or music project, this is just selection to exclude teh smaller countries.

Also UK, but no other EU countries. Still, at least it's closer.

But I mean Australia, Japan, Germany, Switzerland so many 'reliable' countries and they all can't start a project, why, I don't get it.
Yeah I know of indiegogo for one, seems like a good alternative. And the WHOLE WORLD can do it, strange that kickstarter is so closed up, like they'll accept money from anyone but not anyone can start a project, like 99% can't, fucking hypocrites.

Yeh really don't get why they aren't upgrading on some of their shortcomings. Most likely legal based stuff and they not feeling like going into that. So for now Indiegogo is pretty much the only real alternative seeing the rest are even lesser known.

You have to find someone reliable in US or UK to be the "leader" of the project. No US/UK address, no kickstarter.

There are people who specialize in managing kickstarter projects. They get a cut of your funding, but through them you can start it and maybe even get some other form of assistance.
