Hi all,

just wanted to share what I bought today for myself as a kind of "early" Xmas present:

You can hate me now ...

Xmas Grin

"Hyperbole will destroy us all.", Matt Dillahunty.
"The hyperbole, the demonization of the other opinion and the unwillingness to even read the opposing opinion destroys the so important political discussions necessary for the well functioning of society.", Couleur

Really it is, I enjoyed 1 and 3, but 2 was just outstanding. Also god war of collection and origins is awesomely fun as well.

Nice games though, will keep you busy.

The third one they went backwards in controls. Which bugged me. 3 is better looking with a bit of a better style of action and cinematic booms. 2 is just all around goodness. I should plug in my ps3 and play mgs... got so sick and tired of it. Laughing Don't think I played more than 45 minutes.

MGS is a slow synder movie who wants to copy a mallick movie. Too much pseudo depth. Decent AI. Some good battles. A lot of scripted gameplay. Some good fun here and there. But the controls... UGH. With every MGS game there's like 30 + minutes of getting used to the controls and then going crazy and shooting things as little as possible.

But boy oh boy does it look great! I played mgs 1. Played some MGS2... didn't touch 3 or the others. Played 4 for a bit. Loved the games. It's great fun. But the controls are just... UGH. It's just like first party fps games... dumping the core regular controls... and trying for something new. It's so annoying.

MGS had a lot of movements and a lot of buttons for said movement.
I remember playing and loving syphon filter on psx. That game was epic as fuck. Running down the very first mission, using cheats for all guns, and tazering people on rooftops. It was easy. Easy to control. Third person brilliance in an action game. Shooting could have been better. MGS was just different. Controlling the character was its own tactical feat. If you're stressed during a hectic moment, you press the wrong button by accident or hold it for just a second longer and snake just drops down to the ground... Neutral LIKE MOTHA FUCKA IM SHOOTING THE MANTIS WHY YOU BE ON THE GROUND!?

but by then you get used to the controls and it becomes fluid and even a great experience. But it's like that, to me at least, with every MGS game that I played. You have 30 minutes at least to get adjusted to the controls. I hate that. I hated that in that insomniac shooter that they did for ps3. I hated that in Killzone as well. Though to be frank many of the first party title exclusives for the 360 didn't suffer from crazy new methods of controlling characters.

well the controls do match the espionage style of the game. however, my only problem with it is that the controls get a bit of getting used to.

I see that you guys like to treat yourselves nicely, good on you Very Happy
I won't buy myself anything this year, having some vacation and time to actually play games/watch movies is already the best gift that I can have.

I'll just turn off the annoying phone and wear my trusty nerdy pants for days. I'm also thinking about erecting a scarecrow in front of my house holding the "please leave me alone, thanks." sign xD

I got myself some good stuff for christmas too. No money in the family really cuz my parents did a huge thing for my sister.

I bought what I thought family needed, but I bought myself what I wanted.

A new bamboo like chair to sit at my computer with..
A new shinny large mirror for my tiny hallway...
A whole bunch of nice bath stuff, lots of soap and things that bubble so I can feel clean after working with the stinky public and their smelly poo...... and funky pee.

--Hmmm, interesting gfx --people being chopped 1/2 in this Machete Kills movies I put on.. and jessica Alba I think but I'm typing so it was a quick glance..

I kinda want a PS3 but I've not the money for that right now.

I got myself several 'gifts' (gifts because I didn't buy them with my money xD).

I got myself nice warm slippers (old ones I had for like 5+ years and they were full of holes xD)

Yesterday I got myself these http://tinyurl.com/n6xyv3k love them, super comfy boots so I don't get cold (they were 40% off for cash, so I saved up some money Smile)

And just now I ordered new service from my ISP, and FINALLY I'll have a 10 Mbps speed ^^ The only downsize is that that will happen in 3-4 weeks -.-" Like c'mon ppl! Haven't I suffered enough? xD

So I'm quite happy atm, don't wish for anything special anymore (maybe to graduate soon lol)

I do need to buy stuff for others :\

I bought myself a laser (2.5W), a PS4, an XboxOne (along with a few games for each), a new vaporizer, and bought my new girl a nice, shiny bauble for her to wear around her neck (since I have to keep my penis in my pants when out in public...stupid laws...). Not having kids and working many a 100+ hour week has really paid off this year!

Merry Christmas (or whatever holiday you celebrate)!
