I'm in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend.
I want to play something fun with her for coop, but she's got a shitty computer.
Even minecraft is out of the table since it's pretty demanding these days.

What would you recommend ? Something old or indie.
terraria wouldnt really interest her and we're bored with diablo 2.

Oh boy. Here we go again. This is a very popular subject on this forum, however as a fellow co-op player I feel like I should answer anyways.

Start by searching this forum for co-op, coop.
Then visit http://www.co-optimus.com/

Of top of my head few co-op game that should work on older PC's. Not sure if they are online or local only so look into that.

All Zombies Must Die
Dungeon Defenders
Hamilton's Great Adventure
Magicka
Scary Girl
Shank
Shatter
Tobe's Vertiacal Adventure
Trine / Trine 2 (maybe slow)
Worms Blast (must try)

Emulators maybe? Like:
http://snesbox.com/

You can play through the browser, no need to install anything (well... you need flash) and you can play online too.

Looking for a coop game too. Maybe something hero based and missions (not pure top down shooters) maybe something you can invest some time in and build stuff. Just want to play something fun with my brother, but can't find anything Sad

http://www.co-optimus.com/ is still the place to be Smile

You might want to try starbound, lot's of humpers are enjoying themselves with it. Or some F2P MMO out there. Check the games list on http://www.MMORPG.com for that. Or a MOBA...

Don't really know what kind of games you both like so, check those sites at least Smile

Saints Row 2 is a blast on coop. It's amazing! We've had so much fun with customization. We used to make these crazy characters like "chinese master" or "gay mage" and so on.

We also made some competitions like destroy each others vehicles or airplanes without using weapons.

Pure good fun.

SR3 isn't that much fun IMO.

Yeah and Starbound

Doom 3 Coop is great.

Hero based and missions ? There's a marvel(?) mmo on steam - You can play on PVE servers and don't care about other players. Fighting is much fun because it's dynamic, you can pick up cars etc. and throw it. You can fly and run very fast.

Risk of Rain works great on low end systems. Start on Easy, the learning curve can be tough, but with 2 players it's a lot easier.
Lots of stuff to unlock and very replayable due to random maps and items.

PS: 10-players Smile
