well. i like the poster atleast.
im pretty sure someone other than ron more CREATED battlestar galactica. they must mean the guy who took someone elses idea and remade it. i mean unless we're fine with saying len wiseman created total recall
sounds 'exciting' but im guessing it'll probably be pretty generic. either way ill give it a watch. ill need something to replace the increasingly dull and stupid almost human, methinks

SyFy
And "remade" is a big understatement. He took some campy shit from the 70s and made it into some of the greatest television series.

But he didn't create it is all I'm saying. Credit him as the creator of the reboot, not the concept.

Looks fantastic. Reminds me of 'Ice' ("The X-Files") which is one of my favorite TV episodes of all time. And yes, Ron Moore is the CREATOR of "Battlestar Galactica" (2003).

"Play god, pay the price"
So it will turn into religion vs science mumbo jumbo?

Prolly.
It's hard to say at this point.
Although if memory serves, Battlestar Galactica's last season was fucked up by angels and other religious crap Thankfully it didn't ruin it completely.

Poster is great
TWIN PEAKS is "something of a miracle."
"...like nothing else on television."
"a phenomenon."
"A tangled tale of sex, violence, power, junk food..."
"Like Nothing On Earth"

Usually I'm all excited when it comes to sci-fi stuff but Syfy partially killed my boner xD. I still want to watch it, but my expectations are realistically not that high for many reasons..

Never say never, but I don't think that you'll find epic CGI here. It's probably gonna have dat low budget feel that you either tolerate or despise.

Epic CGI lol, yeah...network/cable sci-fi shows nowadays have half the amount of episodes, cheaper CGI and cost twice as much to make as in the 90's. Why exactly is beyond me.
If you want good CGI wait for a sci-fi show by HBO.
Nevertheless I'm immensely looking forward to Helix, RDM always means quality of writing.
Just hoping that "Play God and pay the price" is just a punchline and not some kind of luddite agenda...again. (ahem)

Luckily, we may not have to wait too long for this. HBO finally has a sci-fi series (Westworld) in development with Jon Nolan. I REALLY hope it gets ordered to series.

dem strech pants
"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Well.. I dunno whether it turns into shit later on or not, but I got kinda hooked on.
PS I'm gonna speculate a bit on what's the source of the "virus" Spoiler: |
The "good Japanese doctor" /found strange remains deep in the ice and the got mixed up in army business or a private company to sponsor his research / was contracted by the army officials or a private company who provided him with the remains (Area 51) / and after he examined them, he tried to come up with a substance that would enhance humans, changing their DNA and whatnot, turning them into super soldiers. The "good Japanese doctor" saw a chance to advance human evolution pushing the research beyond anything that was expected of his team. However, the remains were of extraterrestrial origin and those who got contaminated and didn't die started slowly transforming into something clearly not human with its own agenda.....
Ah, and the :good Japanese doctor" is Julia's father |
