Hey guys.

I currently have this system which has served me quite well for the last couple of years.

AMD phenomII x4 965 3.4ghz
Radeon 5870
8gig of ram
120gb ssd

I had to replace my monitor a while back and since then I have a 2560x1440 resolution monitor and quite predictably my system has trouble with some titles let alone the star citizen hangar module on desktop resolutions.

My question: can I get away with upgrading to a semi decent modern vid card to comfortable play most stuff on 2560x1440 (and hopefully be able to keep this system for maybe another year or two) or is it time to replace the whole system?
