So I built a cheap office PC for a friend, super basic stuff:

Intel i3 3240
A-Data 1x8Gb RAM
ASRock B75M-DGS motherboard
FSP 400W 80+ Bronze PSU
1TB Seagate HDD

And I was planing on using the on board HD2500 as video card, but when I plug in a monitor on either the DVI port or VGA port, or both at the same time, I get no signal to either monitor. I don't really have a video card to try with either, because I am not fucking ripping out my 680 for this!

Anyone have any ideas? :/

Sounds like an issue with the motherboard. You might need to plug your 680 just to reconfigure the settings inside the bios.

Also, I'd look at the RAM first. A lot of motherboards won't work only using 1 stick like that as it's dual channel and you need both slots filled.

I was just about to plug in my 680, when I realized the PSU only has one PCIe connector, argh..

Yeah the RAM was also what I thought at first.. maybe I can take my two 8GB sticks from my PC, but would that really "work better" than one single 8Gb stick?

Never heard of there being issues with having just one stick of RAM. It should simply work in single channel mode. As far as RAM goes I would simply check if it's seated properly (it could also be defective, of course, but trying another one should be simple enough).

As for BIOS settings... by default, it should have the iGPU enabled and ready to work if it has a screen plugged in.

this, + ram errors usually end up with pc speaker sounds. I`d just plug another gfx card and looked at bios settings

You should have got some molex to PCI-E adapters with your card.

You won't need the extra power connector for the 680 just to boot into the BIOS and change around some settings if that is indeed what the issue is.

The card will run and display just fine even in windows, it just won't be able to clock up and run 3D content properly.
