Wasn't sure which section to post this in, but thought this one would be the most appropriate.

I actually just found out that these existed a few days ago thanks to a thread on neogaf. Now, I work in IT, and have a degree in network administration, and I am ashamed to say I've just learned about these... what the hell.

I ended up purchasing these: http://www.amazon.com/TP-LINK-TL-PA4010KIT-Powerline-Adapter-Starter/dp/B00AWRUICG/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1386250049&sr=8-2&keywords=tp+link+homeplugs

I actually bought these because I can't get a wired connection on the first floor of my house, and the wifi signal gets severely degraded downstairs. So I figured this would be a good shot.

Wonder if anyone here has any positive experience with these? Speed, reliability, gaming...etc

Almost seems to good to be true to me, but others seems to swear by these.

Thats like first semester of CCNA lol
But yeah if wifi or cable is not an option this is the best what u can have, again depends on your plugs and provider speed and your power lines, make sure to use main wall outlets and not shove that thing in to multi plug on both ends

That's why I was surprised I haven't heard anything about it, then again, I finished school in 2006 so I don't know how popular these were back then.

I have everything at home on one circuit board/fuse box, I'm hoping it is good. The building was built in 1988 so I would assume the power lines are more than fine to do this.

Very anxious to try and it see what kind of results I get, might have them later today. Already cleared a few sockets just for this Very Happy
