Pity it's such a crappy movie. The way it's done make me think Chuck Norris had something to do with it... because it's like a long episode of Walker - Texas Ranger.

I think it was quite good...as a huge fan of the comic i can say it actually have many reference with the V4 of the comic.. But like Walker Texas Ranger?
Does Frank Castle go around with a cowboy hat and enjoying himself?
Frank Castle is a man destroyed and now wants revenge for the death of his kid and wife...

Yeah, it's the most original story there is Rolling Eyes

Walker isn't enjoying himself, he's "enforcing the law" Very Happy

Man, where do I begin?, It's a cheezy story, basically Blade, Blade 2, etc. - the explanation? "He lost his family", hmm... where have we seen that same old story before? ... Cop loses his wife (and kid) to some mob, gets depressed, but returns - and now will serve justice (in his own way) with cheesy lines such as: "sic vis pacum para bellum" - I've read someone who actually called this deep ... this is about as deep as a small pool of water after a short rain in spring.

John Travolta does his crappiest role ever (if it's even remotely possible) ... who wrote his characters background? ... Aaron Spelling? Lifeless... the "kids" next door who dance to an opera song... yeah, very good film here...

Where are the surprises?, It's a long, boring action-movie where you expect everything... Dare Devil is another really bad movie on the same theme, but there - at least you KNOW it's a crappy movie, since it's starring the worst actor of all time. This movie is pretentious, because it actually tries to be "something more" - and fails miserably.

And what's with the shallow subplots?, The musician, the two brothers chasing Howard Saint (Travolta's role), whoever did the script to this movie should learn how to build a climax... the thing with the right-hand "screwing the boss's wife" was so poorly laid out you feel seasick afterwards.

And what's with the choice of actor? This guy they've found reminds me of Christopher Lambert when he's in his worst form. And that's stretching it. This cliché "I'm an ex SEAL"-mentality all over is thinner than paper.

The only thing I can agree with is the movie's slogan:

"Punishment Begins April 16, 2004."

Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Well i think it was doing a great job replicating the comic and make a good action flick out of it..

Fisk, it's a movie man, ease up, and a movie about a comic book at that, I could pick apart Spider man story, but why it's after a comic book.

Come on, there are many a lot better comic-book to movie adaptions than this, actually - virtually all other comic-book-adaptions are better than this one, even SPAWN (which basically has the same story).

This movie is so poorly made it's pathetic.

imo i enjoyed the movie
better than most of these comicbook movies.
at least this one gave me the feeling that he should slaughter them all.
thank god he didnt go after the 'average bad guy' like in spiderman & shit, he just planned his shit & went for the "boss".
the only thing i didn't get was that musician guy, wtf was up with that?
i don't see why this is worse than the average comicbook movie, it's actually ALOT better imo.
