Quote:
PERISH is a video game, an Action-RPG with permadeath & procedurally generated levels, also known as a roguelike-like.
The Combat is deadly and deliberate, inspired by Dark Souls. Block, dodge and manoeuvre to get a good opening to damage your opponent, while making sure not to give the enemy an opening yourself. Levels are randomly generated, and the structure of the game as a whole is similar to Spelunky. A full play-through should take about an hour, but is so difficult that you will likely need to play many times to become good enough to reach the end.

The randomly generated levels also contain specific unique items and encounters that can be relied on to always occur at a specific level or world every time. Learn the patterns behind the apparant randomness to uncover secrets and unlock new areas and content.

Journey into the unknown. Explore long-forgotten ruins and discover what was once lost to the world. Battle through the monsters, undead and the fallen heroes who came before you to reach the secrets that lie entombed within.

PERISH is being created in Unity and will release on PC, MAC, LINUX later this year. It will support Keyboard & Mouse OR Gamepad controls.

Key Features

  • Procedural levels. Every level you play is unique
  • Permadeath. There are stakes! It really matters how well you play because when you die, that's it. A new world is generated for you to start fresh.
  • Non-random entities are a part of the random genration so that you can still memorise & exploit patterns.
  • Classes that you can choose from to vary your play. Unlock new ones by finding secrets!

Why is the movement so slow? I can already see myself getting bored of walking around. I guess that's why it's only 1 hour long.

but i am sure there is some sense of weight to your knight´s movement, whereas in this game the character seems to be floating above ground like a sleepy fairy.
something has to be done about that running animation atleast Laughing

That looks really cool, especially love the art style! But yeah, it does seem a bit too slow...
