There really hasn't been a good time travel based show since... Stargate? And that wasn't very good.

I'm thinking along the lines of the best Star Trek TNG episodes, the time paradox ones.

Come on TV world, make me happy damn it!

If you can bear the Anime-Drama, Steins;gate is a pretty nice time travel show imo. Smile

"Enlightenment is man's emergence from his self-imposed nonage. Nonage is the inability to use one's own understanding without another's guidance. This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

Stargate has time travel? tbh Doctor Who is the only show i can think of with time travel. Can recommend a couple of decent time travel movies though:

Primer 2004: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390384/ My fave time traveller.

Triangle 2009: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1187064/ Might be tough to find but pretty fun movie.

De Je Vu 2006: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0453467/ Just put this in because it flopped hard and not everyone has seen it, bit of Denzel action.

Doctor Who. Very Happy

Life on Mars
Ashes to Ashes

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.

Stargate only had one or two time travel episodes. It was when the sun had a strong solar flare something, something and that sent them back in time.

And i have to agree with Couleur. Watch Steins gate if you can handle anime. It's a fantastic series.

This list might help.

The new 12 Monkeys tv show is pretty good considering the time travel theme.

@Horrordee

Are you interested only in tv shows?

I see my fellow humpers Laughing mentioning films in this topic so I could add some other good ones to the list

Looper (2014)

Predestination (2014) -

Too bad it doesn't have that feel anymore it had when it came out (but I guess it goes with most of the older shows).

I watched Seven Days not so long ago and it's pleasant to watch. Unfortunately it was cancelled Sad

What about Continuum? I haven't seen a single episode but it is about time travel.

Loved looper.

Thanks for all the replies guys - there's plenty for me to explore here. Absolutely interested in films too, so thanks for the recommendations (most I haven't seen!)

I do feel that based on the replies, there is a general consensus that time travel isn't something that's been done a whole lot in TV - hopefully that'll change soon!

From a film POV, think I'll start with Predestination - not seen it, great reviews and trailer looks interesting.

From a TV POV, think i'll go with seven days and then maybe 12 monkeys (although mixed reviews?). Unfortunately I'm really not into anime so might have to skip Steins Gate (despite the praise!)

Thanks again yo! Dude Cool
