http://www.usell.com/
http://www.gazelle.com/
And more important question is, why do people use them? Unless all the reviews@resellerratings are fake, which I doubt...

I hope people do realize they basically sell their devices up to 50% below market price?
But I guess it's only for US folks so no wonder...
It makes me sad when I see those advertisements on TV.
For my scratched Samsung Galaxy SII, best they would offer me is $60, while I sold mine on amazon few days ago for $160 :\ which is what I paid for it 2 years ago ;[

because people get desperate.
They get these things when the going is good (subjectively), then when they need the cash they sell them to these parasites (and similar ones)

I saw things like that in here and in other "woman problems" topics so...... Am I the only one that thinks some authorities needs to be alerted about Saner and him possibly being a rapist and/or kidnapper ? |

In Poland there are similar sites, other countries probably have them as well.
www.starytelefon.pl for example. I remember checking back in 2010 what my Samsung Wave s8500 was worth to them. Answer: 230 PLN, for a working one. Market price? 600-700 if moderately used, around 800 for mint condition.
Now I know they run a business, and it's not like they don't have to pay their employees, taxes, social security and all that crap, and still have to do something productive with your phone, but the question is why would I want to sell it there, not on an auction site

Yup, same thing in England as well with parasites like "Cash4Gold" or "Mazuma Mobile" - not to mention the typical highstreet scumbags "Cash Generator" and "Cash Converters" - they prey on the desperate, the people that are truly struggling and need money. They've taken up the nasty habit of checking eBay for item value now, so if you go in with a new TV or something, they'll look on eBay and find the CHEAPEST price it goes for and then offer you 30% less than that.
