It started like this; Booted up my 360 like always, noticed the xbox logo was there way longer than usual. Finally gets into FSD... and I see im not signed in. Well, I manually try to sign in. But my main profile isn't there - strange. (I think the xbox used such long time to get to FSD because it tried to sign in the profile.)
The xbox seems kinda slow now, and when I use the filemanager in FSD I noticed HDD is much slower than USB HDD. Im of course thinking "god damn, the HDD is failing..."
its kinda strange it happens so all of a sudden. I haven't physically done anything and it worked flawlessly yesterday.

I reboot the 360 time after time with different results. Most often im not able to sign into the profile, other times it autosigns into it but shows my avatar picture as corrupted (strange colors). Only once where I able to sign into it and see my gamerscore. And whenever I try to play a game with the profile I see no gamerscore or the games iv played Sad

The other profiles iv made for coop friends also disappear from time to time so I figure it doesn't matter what profile I try. But it mattered... tried one and it worked perfectly and also seemed to be a lot faster than my old profile (maybe not that strange, my profile is huge 115k gamerscore). But what I do find strange is that there now is no problem saving and entering clip-on HDD in FSD is superfast. Just as fast as the USB HDD.

Confused Confused Confused

Gonna continue tomorrow... will try to do the uncorrupt trick and see if that helps, but the profile can't just get corrupt out of nowhere, can it?

Have you tried removing and reinserting the drive? Checking to make sure the terminals are clean? A few months back I had a horrible issue with my 360 freezing and rebooting, sometimes not loading the profile or complaining that it was corrupt, I thought the machine was dying... turns out all I had to do was check the drive caddy was properly seated.. it must have come loose somehow.
