Description: “1953 — KGB Unleashed” is based on real projects conducted by the Ministry of State Security of the USSR (the former KGB). During that time they pushed the limits of human endurance, testing for the possibility of telepathy, as well as researching the psychological impact of fear on the human brain. The photo-realistic visual style of “1953 — KGB Unleashed” recreates the USSR of the fifties: the underground shelter’s interior is constructed using real Soviet military plans, and the materials found there are based on historically valid documents. Explore a hidden laboratory where such experiments were conducted in order to learn the truth behind the terrifying events that led to the closure of the project and the liquidation of its staff. An atmosphere of isolation and suspense pervades throughout, bringing you face to face with your own fears, while the voice of invisible “observer” broadcasts over the internal communications system. Is this observer a friend, or an enemy? Your exploration of this perfectly-preserved complex may uncover what these experiments unlocked deep within the human psyche – but will you survive these revelations intact?

Gameplay:

Anyone tried it yet? Cool Face

Point 'n' click, only if it's a horror survival game otherwise not interested. Neutral

So has ne1 tried it yet? There was a time when despite 900mb actually mattering back then, I woulda d/l'd this just on the description.
However we've all ended up burned by lotsa 'sound great in the imagination but appalling in the execution' type games that now I refuse to sully my registry with potential crap until I know it aint crap, or at the very least doesn't need to be 'installed' with a registry polluter b4 playing.

Don't buy the game, it was released without the consent of the developer.
Developers didn't get the money they should have from the release

The game " Phobos 1953" was illegally released on Steam
In the stronghold of the PC gaming license suffered embarrassment .

Adventure game "Phobos 1953" recently appeared on Steam called 1953 - KGB Unleashed. As it turned out , illegally. One of the developers of the game , George Beloglasov on his page on the social networking site Facebook has commented on the situation as follows :

" I know this sounds surreal , but there is a pirate localization into English. During the development of the game, we have not received a cent , and no report , even though the contract issuer is required to pay us the first sold copy . Of course, we will not stay on the sidelines. We will seek out the legal control of the game account , once it has passed Greenlight. While we gon only one recommendation - do not buy it . "

Currently representatives Phantomery Interactive Studios are trying to gain control of the game account . "If 1953 just will be removed from Steam, - said Gmbox Beloglasov - that benefits no one ."

Adventure "Phobos 1953 " was released in 2010 and it is the pre-history of the Russian film "Phobos" , which was shown on March 25 of that year. The game's plot revolves around an underground bunker laboratory in which experiments were conducted on human beings for the purpose of identification of the limitations of the human brain , the ability of people to pass each other at a distance of thought and the impact of fear on the minds of the subjects.

The game has received a number of awards from the specialized media and Russian award for "Best Adventure Game " from the jury the Game Developers Conference 2009 .

Well that is a first. Never heard about such a bizarre situation between the dev and the publisher.
So downloading the pirated version is actually going with the wishes of the devs Very Happy
