I really love beer. And I always enjoy tasting new ones.

So I figured this may be a good place to hear from others about other good beer brands.

My favorites are -

1. Franziskaner
2. Paulaner/Paulaner Dunkel
3. Israeli Brand - Golan Brewery Bazelet Beer
4. Samuel Adams

Your number 1 is my number 1. I really enjoy it Smile

Also Pilsner Urquell is great and also an american brewery named something with a Dog, I think makes some pretty great beers but the name escapes me

The ones that come in 2L packs. Really they all taste pretty much the same to me Very Happy

As long as it has alcohol in it I'm fine.

I am a Real Ale man ( http://www.camra.org.uk/ )

So my fave in that way would be either Old Speckled Hen (http://www.oldspeckledhen.co.uk/), London Pride http://www.fullers.co.uk/rte.asp?id=47 or Hobgoblin http://www.wychwood.co.uk/

And lets be honest, Hobgoblin has the greatest Beermat ever (and slogan)

But its a hard one to really say because they are all so different in taste.
But i like lager from time to time, if I have it at home I usually get Becks or Grolsh, but I try and get the stuff brewed in its native country, not "Brewed under licence in the UK" because it is different.

the stuff Brewed under license in the uk is fucking nasty.

Taste like piss thats had a little added sugar.

But in fairness that applys to most lagers, I spent a while importing a load of stuff and the original versions of them always tasted better.

Same in here.
For example big brand beers like Carlsberg, and Heinken that are brewed in Israel tastes almost the same compared to each other, and they are really nasty comparing to the original beers.

Saner - I Didn't know about this 'real beer' stuff. I tasted London Pride and it's kind of 'heavy'. Are all real bears like that?

And I just hate corona. To be honest it tastes like piss to me.

Bass is also a great beer. For some reason I forgot about it.[/url]

bass and London Pride are both Real Ales, so you can tell by that the potential vast difference ebtween different ales.

I love Bishops Finger among other English ales. Hobgoblin is nice as well. I love that amber coloured taste.

I pretty much love all of them, some I wouldnt drink through choice but I love them because eash and every one is different.

I do like some lagers (to a degree) but they are all somewhat similar, even if some are better than others, but with English Real Ales you can have four pumps and have four completely different drinks, and thats something that is worth celebrating in the real beer world Very Happy

(its also nice to meet someone else online who enjoys a good beer)

Grolsch is for a lager a nice beer, it has a little bitter tone in it.

A couple of my favourite beers:
- All 3 flavours from Rochefort (more barley wine than beer)
- Westmalle Tripel
- Duchesse de Bourgogne (light in alcohol heavy in taste, ripened on oak)
- Orval (quite bitter)

Any type of trappist or fine Belgian dark beer. There simply aren't any better than that. Period.

Looking at iconized's list I agree with every single one Very Happy

If it's for real Belgian beers then my favorite is La Chouffe

Although these beers tend to crash me down pretty quickly.

Oh Stiegl lol.

When I'd been to Salzburg a year ago all they had is this Stiegl beer, and bottled only!!!
We were terribly disappointed that the only beer we could get was one brand, and that it was bottled only! Who would've believed that you would go into a bar, and they wouldn't have keg beers, lol.

If it's for Austrian beers, I would prefer Zipfer. At least they had that in some remote Tirol Apline villages from a keg.

Here are my friends with Zipfer and an authentic Tyrolian native in some remote Alpine pub Razz

La Chouffe from Brasserie Achouffe in Achouffe (Belgium), visited the brewery 15 years ago or so. Have quite some fond memories of that beer. Smug
The word chouffe in the local dialect over there means something like gnome, hence the little men on the labels.

In the men's toilet in the brewery's pub there is an urinal mounted on the wall at a height that it can be used by midgets. Very Happy

Yea this cute looking gnome got me interested in that beer.
It's actually one of the few Belgian beers I like. Many Belgian beers are too 'heavy' for me. Like St. Bernardus

I only drink those heavy beers on special occasions and then only one or two.
If you love something you shouldn't consume it too often. Very Happy
St. Bernardus is a bit of a rip-off of the very special and hard to obtain Westvleteren beers btw.

qft!

I go with my friends from uni like once every 4-5 months. Plus it's expensive here (especially when you take in account that you only get 0.3 l). But it's not something you drink in large amounts. Not to mention the high alcohol percentage Very Happy

But for me it's the taste that got me.

Every bear has different and great taste, full of flavor ^^
