So my brother would like to make a huge poster of a picture by enlarging it over multiple A4 prints. So basicly instead of 1 x A4 its gonna be 4 x 4 A4 or even 8 x 8.
What software would allow this? and would it help at calibrating printer so the pixels are nicely filling each A4 and lining up well the other A4 prints?
I hope it's a very high resolution or a vector image though, because even for A0 (4 times A4, 841x1189 mm instead of A4's 210x297) at 300 DPI you need 9933x14043 pixels. And don't try to use a common inkjet printer, good chance it'll fuck up and drip when you go full bleed.
My advice is to just use one of the dozens of cheap printing services (drukwerkdeal or similar) that can do that for you much better than you can yourself. Particularly printing full bleed is something most printers simply cannot do. It's not free, but trust me, those few euros you spend are worth the headache of getting a nice full bleed result yourself. Aside from the fact that a proper press or high-end laser printer is much better than whatever you have at home.
