You *could* try it on a yarr/retail/GOG build;
https://www.dx-revision.com/
https://www.dx-revision.com/download/
Get the standalone installer, try to install over your existing DX install.

wow it's a 5gig download. The original must have looked pretty crap because this graphical improvement doesn't look any better then how I remembered the original to be. Is ti worth the download for a replay at all?.

SE should remake DE on the Mankind Divided engine.
"I think Call of Duty resonates because it's believable and relatable," Sledgehammer Games cofounder Michael Condrey says.
Believable and relatable...Yep, sounds like Call of Duty

The new 'soundtrack' is horrible. It's exactly like the remixes of the early 2000's where some kid would listen to an already good track and think. This really needs more base and distortion! And then proceeeds to add that and call it a "remix" or "improved" it's absolute shit.
But I didn't expect that they'd be able to improve upon the original soundtrack anyway as it was already perfect.

To further add insult to injury, if you simply delete the horrible shitty excuse for music in this mod. You get no music at all in the game, it doesn't just default to playing the standard tracks.
Investigating further shows that they've segmented the tracks into individual ogg files, which is what the mod is looking for to play music. And I just can't be bothered converting the old OST right now, I'm too pissed off due to me having to listen to that shit soundtrack.

Settings-->Sound-->Soundtrack (Disabled)
This restores the original OST. Nice spot QQQ.

The environment textures are way better but that's not due to the mod itself, it's because they incorporated an old texture mod called New Vision. Gun models are higher quality too.
As for being worth a download, probably only for old school Deus Ex fans who want to experience the game in a new way.

Do you know by any chance if Revision is compatible with GMDX? Because I really need something different from the vanilla experience that goes along well with the graphical goodies.

If you use Deus Exe I don't see a reason why it wouldn't be, as it would just overwrite whatever custom scripts they use with the GMDX ones and keep the models and textures.
Additionally the developer of GMDX also worked on Revision.

That settles it then! Big thanks as always. Hopefully it will be the perfect combo that the best game ever made deserves.

Everything from the little touches with extra clutter and scenery objects, to complete map rearrangements and changes that make more organic sense. It really is done very well and hey, as sacrilegious as it sounds, I quite like the music too |
