Warriors Orochi 3 (commonly known as; 無双OROCHI 2 in Japan), is a 2011 hack and slash video game developed by Tecmo Koei and Omega Force for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. This is the fourth installment of the crossover series Warriors Orochi, being the combination of the Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors series.
So dynasty warriors and samurai warriors isn't exactly the best game series ever but I do enjoy playing them coop a lot.
Dynasty Warriors 7 came out not too long ago but it was a big disappointment for a variety of reasons, mostly the lack of random weapons, proper weapon customization and lack of story mode coop.
Now Warriors Orochi 3, or Musou Orochi 2 as it's called in japan, wasn't originally gonna come out outside of japan so I'm very happy they changed their minds. It's now coming without english voices, just subs, which I prefer anyway and as far as I know it's also at a reduced price point.
What makes this game better than DW7 is that you get access to like 130 characters, including the new ones from samurai warriors 3 which never came out in english other than for the wii, as well as some crossover characters from other games like bladestorm and ninja gaiden.
It also features great weapon customization where you can loot materials that you can use to modify your weapons and such.
There's also a new mode where you can create your own battles and share them with others online.
I tried out the japanese version for a bit and pretty much everything I was disappointed about in DW7 is gone and much better here, so should be a great game for any DW/SW fan :-)
