i think its doing great.
like 99,99% uptime.
altough its been discussed before;
but allot of ppl register on the forums to download. Maybe it can be prevented by giving them a warning on the frontpage or when they click on the registerbutton, that nforce.nl dont offer downloads in anykind.

I think It's going well at the moment but the site has some problems.
* Many releases are not announced on this site.
* Too many useless topics about demos, news, trailers etc. - New rules should eliminate that problem, at least the most of it.
* Still many requesters bombarding the site. - The banner needs to be putten in place if it already hasn't been done.
* Ignorance of many rules.
* Too many double posts. - Some users really need to search before they post.

All the mods are gay, but I'm female so it's all good.
No download links sheesh!!!11!!
But seriously, I think it's a good site. Well put together and easy on the eyes.
The forums are fine and newbie friendly, unless they've never read the rules.
I like it. Where do I sign up?

i think its going good except accouncing of releases has been slow lately. you should scrap the voting system and appoint "viewers". These 100 or so regulars / admins etc. can each vote and post comments directly from the homepage. this will stop the abuse of votes and the spamming of forums with worthless posts.

Why not talk about demos/news/trailers???? they cause no problems and are really good to have because it's a major part of pc game scene (not warez but pc game in general)
Anyhow site is doing much better only because there isn't a super game release like halo 2 or anything.

Voting on the main portion of the site should be removed completely. There really is no use for it methinks.
Also the whole atmosphere of the forum is kind of stale right now. It is basically dead. It’s been stale for few months now (about a week or two before the major holidays). Useless posts, flames, rubbish, double posts keep this forum alive in a weird distorted way. Game discussions eventually turn into who-has-a-better-system-is-elite-and-who-doesn't-is-a-poor-cock-sucker discussion and it’s annoying trying to read through 6 pages of text just to find out if a certain game is actually worth it .
The rules here are strict but they aren't enforced as much as they should be. I don’t like the whole warning thing. If a user breaks the rule temp-ban them and give them time to cool off or right what they’ve wronged. Like the sig thing. That was fucking annoying.
A rule was broken and those who broke it debated it how it was unfair. That just, in my opinion, was unacceptable. It just shows that those who are here for a long time are given special privileges and have at least one get-out-of-jail-free card.
Mods should be hard asses. They have the power and they should abuse it. In my opinion nothing really needs changing just that mods need to be stricter than they are now.
I don’t care if there are too many rules to enforce. If a rule is broken then ban / temp ban. Once it’s in effect for a month users will think twice before they post and it’ll slowly turn into a paradise-like environment without a need for mods
Requesting can’t be stopped but it can be ignored That’s why I think ‘newbies’ shouldn’t be allowed to post outside of the newbies section then it wouldn’t be the BIG problem it is now
Is it possible to lock away a certain portion of the forum from certain people?
We're just two lost souls swimming in a fish bowl, year after year, running over the same old ground. What have we found? The same old fears. Wish you were here.

I didn't say that we shouldn't discuss these things but to keep them in the general thread instead of creating new topics.
And yes the voting is messed up at the moment as many have said before. Only mods and regulars should be allowed to vote. Unfortunately I also see many of these "regulars" who vote 1/10 or 10/10. The main problem is not who's voting but what options there are. Just one option is not enough. A warning banner could also be put up to prevent users from voting so.

One REALLY ANNOYING problem is when you browse to an nfo then click the back button on your browser it stays at the nfo which is a bit annoying. The same goes for stuff like searches or anything really. You can't use your browser to navigate back and forth.

are you sure? i did have this prob a little but if u set ur homepage to http://www.nfohump.com/index.php?m=mixed instead of just http://www.nforce.nl .
You could maybe enchance the voting system with more options such as for movies : sound quality, vid quality, realse quality, film in general.

What i mean is only a certain usergroup can post. since it cant just be mods because they dont have the time + there isnt enough of them. so if another 50 or so regulars are given the power to vote this system wont be abused and it can be a trusted place to look for info.

Injurious - Totally agreed. Many users are saying that some of us are to harsh. But if we wouldn't be this forum would result in anarchy. At the moment we are using 1. warning - temp ban - perm ban. In some occurences It's even 2. warning - temp ban - temp ban again - perm ban. Personally I would like it 3. temp ban - perm ban.
And yes those users who complain of them being banned annoys me a lot. They did break rules many of them several times and they are bitching about it and saying that we mods are assholes. I'm 99% sure they wouldn't do a better job themselves.
Hunter - No, no! Don't kill the voting, just lock it to mods and regulars and split it into "release quality"/"product quality"/"?"

I really have no complaints aside from the requesting issue. I have no good ideas toward a solution but i support a banner upon signing up for the forum.

Injurious has a good point here as i have noticed some recent changes on the forum too. And the reason such a thread appears at this time is no coincidence, you admins must have noticed some changes too.
To elaborate the changes further: I have noticed like Injurious that a lot of useless posts are made by a small minorty here, and i think you get a good idea of what i'm talking about if you look at the beginning of the thread Hunter. You made a good thread wich turns into a useless childish "discussion" in no time, most of the threads in the General Chatter and Bitchin Section turn that way, and that's one of the biggest problems at the moment. Most users who are in their twenties or older don't want to participate in this kind of converstations, it may be funny for once, but it wears off quickly.
Now the other problem area in my opinion is the Game Section. This is the most active section here and the "heart" of the forum, but things have changed there too. Most members there post crap like, omg will it have starfore..., why can't the groups crack faster..., omg i need a game right now... or i shit my pants if i have a new game right now... . Well the information we get about a game is zero, it used to be much better in the good old days (i have only been lurking back then ). So my suggestion is that threads about games are ONLY about the game itsself, not about protections, grps, pre's etc. this would make reading and participating much more worthwhile than it is right now.
One last point i want to address here are requesters. Now everyone has had enough about this, and mods and users make the suggestion that a notice on the frontpage may help to keep some requesters away. I have made a thread about this idea in the feedback section, and razor1394 made one at the old forum, but no admin ever replied to that. The only reaction were the advertisements right above the release list. This smellss a bit fishy for me because this is not the right way to get rid of requesters, or do you only care for page impressions or hits, like TumTum suspected a while back. To expect new members to read the whole faq can't be the solution because you seriously can't expect them to read all the text.
Just some points wich came to my mind, but it's not all bad as i wouldn't have taken the time to write all this

Good points. It would be good to see these things prohibited in the gaming section:
- Users telling telling others to BUY the game. That is not an option for some people and is a very lame answer.
- Users posting "Oh my god I'm leechning this right now on my gigabit stro", etc.
- Posts like "Yes this is out, OMG!", etc.
- Complaining about groups and protections together with.

stop quotes in quotes. so when someone quotes someoneelse who has quoted a third person the quote of this third person is not in the quote. just an idea
