|
 |
Through the last few months, since I got the MPAA letter, i've been all but paranoid about my privacy. Since I couldn't easily give up warez (if only because I often don't have the $ to buy or rent what I want), I've been hobbling along using a series of different proxies, some better than others, but most of them slow as dung, and questionably anonymous.
So, my question to the public is, what if any free, fast, and anonymous IRC proxy/proxies do you use? Give a list if that's where you go from.

If you're referring to BNC's most free suck donkeyballs. Just buy one of a well known company and switch file transfer to go directly to you. I'm using TX-Shells and they simple rock. Not expensive too.

ok first to say, you are in peri. Quote: | e I got the MPAA letter, i've been all but paranoid about my privacy. Have you seen the movie 'HEAT'? "when you feel the heat you have to be able to give up everything within 15minutes". Better too cautious than getting caught.
Thing 2

You want a free whoker as well? Public stuff aint anonymous. Good stuff aint free. Fast stuff aint cheap. so you 'll pay $$. One $ for the speed, one $ for the anonymity.
Theres nothing free and anonymous. and when it is free, it causes danger (because mostly not legal and increasing being caught). So you'll have to pay, or stop warez. there are bncs for 5$/month with 5 vhosts or so.

Well, in that case I really fail to see the point of warez:
If you buy stuff legally, you pay, support whoever made it, and have no chance of getting caught.
If you download stuff illegally, you pay, support nobody, and have a chance of beign caught.
Thus, wtf is the point of warez?

Point of warez:
From groups view: Racing and fame.
From downloaders view: Checking the product if it's worth using. If it is then It's time to visit the store |
Your point is flawed.
To "check" the product, it is sufficient to download a demo, off the site's fast and easy FTP. Check, like, buy. It's free, and a lot easier than warez. Therefore, the point of warez is not to "check" the product - you're not going to go see a movie you've already downloaded. The point of warez is to use the product... for free. Thus, if you're paying money for using a product, why don't you get your ass over to amazon/blockbuster and buy the damned thing already. I mean, paying for warez ruins the whole beauty of the thing.
EDIT: And as for paying the BNC, I could care less who I'm paying, the point being that I'm paying for warez, which sucks.

Because the demo's suck! It doesn't cover all the parts of the game that you should try before buying. Not everybody thinks like you. There are many who I know and others out there who watch the movies on TS/CAM/TC before going to the cinema or buying the DVD. Maybe you are paying for warez in someway when buying a BNC but don't try to relate it to "the point of warez being free".

@acceleron, you say paying for "warez" in this case a bnc is stupid, well seeing a bnc doesnt cost more then 2 usd a month you are only paying a fraction of what you would be paying for movies and games and then you still save alot of money.

what is the point of warez?
They aren't made for you!!! It is a right not an obligation. So you decide whether you take them and with that the risks or you don't take the warez and no risks.
