What is the problem with 1.8GB on iPhone? Already there are games that are that size and run on both iPhone and iPad. In fact, speaking purely of performance, the iPhone 5 would yield a better performance because it has a significantly lower resolution, while having a very powerful GPU and CPU.

I disagree with that, there are alot of games with the same function as KOTOR.

It is not only a great game, it is also a great Star Wars game. I found it to fit perfectly in the universe, making use of the possibilities that the movies give to games. It is not just some random game skinned to have Star Wars characters and opening music, this is a true Star Wars game through and through which makes it something of a rare kind of games..

Since my wife is getting into RPGs lately, I installed KoTOR on my iPad 2 for her -- I have to say, I am impressed they managed to get KoTOR running on an iPad It's just a shame about the missing post-processing and shadows, apparently the game has .inis just like the PC version, but doesn't appear to read any tweaks to them, according to some posts I've read online. It wouldn't surprise me if shadows were physically disabled at the engine level.
Also, I can imagine it looks a whole lot worse running on high-res devices like iPad3+, here it looks rather nice since the iPad 2 uses a standard PC res anyhow; 1024x768. A tad aliased, unfortunately, but not too bad.

Try to decompile the .ipa file to see if there are any .ini files in there.
