What I mean are BluRays that have the main feature split into multiple m2ts files and have ~20 playlists stringing them together in different orders. One of them is the film in its proper order, the others are fake and result in a wrong ordered film if you demux according to them.
Kind of a funny copy protection idea, making a pirate's life harder without licensing any expensive DRM technology.
I was wondering if there is an easy way to figure out which one is the proper playlist, without brute forcing (watching the film 10 times) your way through until you find the one that doesn't have continuity errors.
Try a binary search-type filtering. Watch the start and end credits of all editions. Then watch some in the middle. Check the movie's real chapters here: http://chapterdb.org/ and use that to see which editions don't match.
Or just play the movie in a player that shows you all the editions available and see the correct number. I think PowerDVD will do.
