Okay I was getting a game, the moment of silence (money).
Now then the place I was getting it from left and hasn't returned.

When I try to get it from another server it doesn't resume but starts a new download. I'm at 85% of a large download which I don't want to lose.

If I rename the file will I be able to resume on another server?

I wouldn't do that as it still could be corrupted.

I don't think it's corrupted, just incomplete.

So renaming it to get it from another server may currupt it?

Yes, sometimes that happens (been there, done that). What you could do is to extract the completed files from the main package and resume it. If it get's corrupted you still have 85% of the files.

For a possible future problem you can just take a copy of the entire file and resume from that copy.

Then you will still have a copy of the 85% completed file if it gets corrupted.
