Announced at Star Wars Celebration 2023, Filmmaker James Mangold ('Logan', 'Walk the Line', and 'Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny') will direct a Star Wars film about the Dawn of the Jedi. Set 25,000 years before the Prequel Trilogy, Mangold is writing a script that investigates the first person to discover the Force. He speaks to IMDb about working on big-budget franchise films and what Biblical epics inspired his leap into that galaxy far, far away.
I mean, the idea is cool, the era is cool (founding of the Old Republic), the formation of the Jedi Order etc.
But it's by James Mangold who made the latest shitty Indiana Jones movie. He did do some good stuff though like Logan, Ford vs Ferrari and Walk the Line so let's hope he'll do justice to the subject matter.
