On the main page, there is a link that reads 'Apply for Updater'. So I applied and haven't gotten anything back about it. If the case may be, a simple "We don't need/want you" would suffice. Otherwise, I'm ready to start with the reviews. Can a mod or admin give me a heads up on the situation?

What reviews are you talking about? You could apply for NFO updater, meaning if you have pre that you post the nfo's here, this has nothing to do with reviews, and the link is gone anyway.
