Nice, I heard the story is quite brilliant (abusive father and his relation with his child).

Some standard UE3 tweaks (Which in this build of the engine messed up the shadows somewhat, whoops.) but nothing special otherwise, bit tired at the moment so I'll do a better attempt later. Smile
(Seems like it could be a nice experience.)

As if any IGN reviews are good Laughing It's a very heavily story-focused linear game.

I played for an hour or so. Don't quite know what to make out of it yet. Didn't feel like garbage, though, but it didn't feel the other way around as well. It's rather linear and the puzzles are easy as cake. For a 10-buck game, it's definitely not offering a shitty experience.

yeah did you EVEN WATCHED THE REVIEW .. see 1:21 they say it a unique game that would score 10/10 but the game is SO BROKEN and they show it that it gets 4/10

I don't pretend to be an expert on these things as i don't even own an Xbox but it was the Xbox version they played in the review. So the technical issues could be fine on the PC-version. For PC it's easy to release a patch to fix bugs but isn't it alot harder to do this on Xbox (the thing that comes to mind is Fez)?

For all i know these issues could exist on the PC-version as well but until someone reviews the PC-version of the game i will assume the bugs are mainly Xbox related (they also mentioned framrate issues, i doubt this will be an issue on PC)

The rest is down to personal preference i think, from what i can see on screenshots and videos the graphics are good enough (for me) and gameplay is a decidedly personal preference.

Quote:

- Better graphics and new visual effects
- Improved controls
- Improved character animation and cinematics (including some facial animations)
- More robust gameplay – lots of bugs fixed
- Full controller support for Steam Big Picture mode
- Multi-monitor support

(In my second batch of images I posted - screenshot thread - I did however find a invisible ledge so not all bugs seem to be fixed.)

The PS3 Version had some bugs and technical problems but as far as i can see they fixed them in the pc version it runs and looks mutch better.
Gameplay and puzzles are not that hard thats true but the unique setting and story make up for that, its a great game now and well worth 10 bucks.
