Well I couldn't see any posts for PSP (sorry didn't search so hard).

Well I got one, and a copy of Ridge Racer.

What can I say; I've been playing games since Hungry Horace went skiing.

I own PS2, PSOne, XBox, Dreamcast, N64, Mega Drive, CD32, 3DO, Nintendo DS, Gameboy, a mother of a PC (PCIE-X800) and that little PSP totally ownz!

Ridge Racers gone from ok, to one of the most immersive games I've played. The drift mode and nitros boosts just compel you so much. I thought I'd finished all 9 seasons, when suddenly a dozen more appear at Pro level, with faster cars more track variation, just stuff I've never seen before from this series, and this is a launch title!

And this dont even include the built in MPG 3 player, movie player, I'm converting TV episodes at the mo onto a 1 Gig duo memory card, it's better than my portable DVD player with 7 inch LCD!

I am now in game Nirvana, all the time, and not when a power main dictates when and where I can watch, listen, and play. Amen...

bought a Sandisk one from EBay (pay direct) for 79.00 GBP ($150.00) Sounds expensive, but it's really not. I can easily squeeze one whole movie at native screen rez on there (looks superb!) plus acouple of MP3 albums.

I'll have a go, suffice to say the intense resolution is unbelievable.

Watching the Game intro video in 16:9 for the first time left me totally gob smacked. You've just got to find an opportunity to see for yourself! Awesome, almost beyond comprehension. I really is that good!!

Japan version has dropped from original price, claims Lik-Sang.

Japan is multi-region and can be set to any lanquage. This may not be the case for US or European. Maybe some one knows for certain?

I got mine quite cheap (value pack and game) for 220 GPB on EBay. I bought three at once, which all arived in less than a week. Total 660 GBP. The delivery cost 15 GBP = 675 GBP.

Because two were in my local territory in the UK, they carried a heavy premium to UK buyers who wanted a machine the next day. Both were sold for 250 GBP + 10 GBP next day delivery each, total 520 GBP.

Subtract 520 from 660 and your left with 140 GBP + 14 pounds on true UK shipping. Total 154 GPB.

I've saved 60 odd GPB on the first machine. The money went on my credit card, so no hassel raising the funds Smile

A) Watch your favourite episode of Stargate/24/Andromeda/insert favourite TV episode?
B) Sell your Ipod/ Muvo Player on EBay, (you have a PSP!) Listen too a large collection of your favourite MP3's
C) Show your mates, who are all drooling in envy (mine are Smile)
D) Just stare at it and marvel at future technology or heaven forbid Play a game?

preach on brother! - you must get a 1GB duo memory card, and a copy of Image Converter. I still can't get over how good the video looks!

Waiting for Dynasty Warriors at the mo. I just can't wait to start building a decent collection of games. I've played video games for over 20 years! and I'm like a kid, this little wonders got me loving computer games all over again... just when I was ready to throw in the towel and give it all up.

Guess I played too much Doom 3 and Half-Life 2! Cool

Yeah, its kind a sad actually... The UMD disc can hold 1.8 gigs so if we have to download the games and transfer them to the PSP we need goddamn 1.8 gigs at least, though depends on how the devs filled the UMD...

The DS is nice but it ain't good compared to the PSP... very sad, since i am a Nintendo Fan and would have loved to see a new awesome machine from 'em and When I became aware of the DS I immediately knew what console I was buying next, but then I heard the PSP supported MP3s, MP4 Videos and a freakin' big LCD screen Very Happy
I was sold...

I have a DS too, with Mario DS. A mate has Ridge Racer DS and side by side they look like too different generations of the game. DS looks like lego on sub N64, and PSP is like the PS2, in fact better if that's possible.

I like the dual screen on DS and the interactive games, but it's more a novelty like Eye Toy. Get a PSP and pick up a DS when it's dirt cheap.

yeah i was going to get both cos i do like nintendo games, but after getting this psp i will wait to see what other nintendo exclusive type games come out. To me the psp is the one to have, just like a arcade machine in your hands and does everything, the DS is and looks great for all them cartoony type games that nintendo is good at making and in itself for them will do good along with its touch screen syle games but if a game is on DS and PSP its the PSP thats simply stunning where as the DS doesn't look so good.l

For anybody just to say simply that Ds sucks cos they have a PSP is wrong, both are different to what they can do and both diserve a place on the market, but for me at present the PSP was the must have system
