So this is my card:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102989

Google tells me nothing if it's a reference PCB or not, someone on the webs said if it sports that AMD logo it's a reference board. I think someone also said it's a 7970 pcb?

Need to know so I can order the water block for it.

Since this is the one: http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/?cid=1&gid=3&sgid=1157&pid=1713&psn=&lid=1&leg=0 you should send a support question to Sapphire.. And seems you've got some time since it's "OUT OF STOCK." at newegg at the moment..

uh, the one you linked isn't my card, I linked the one I have in my post. Yours was the boost edition.

None the less I found out my model is reference so....GPU block shopping time. I'm torn between

Swiftech Komodo

or

Heatkiller GPU-X³

DualX 7970 isnt reference, so im not sure about that 7950.

This picture what you posted in the other thread... Backside of the PCB looks different from reference (VRM spot). Stige had the same card, and there was no block for it, if i remember correctly.

I'm going to rip the heatsink off, I'm hearing such mixed fucking answers from everyone it's annoying. EK website listed my model number as a reference model and that their block would fit.

I checked the 4th picture in your link and the box match the one I found on Sapphires site. Both says Dual-X, your link and Sapphires product link. So I got it right.

Just send a support question to Sapphire.. or rip apart the card and compare with pictures of the stock card, if you're still not 100% certain.

It's looking like it is.

My PCB board number is 109-C38137-00

Quote:
All brands using AMD reference PCB's normally
print this number on the card. It is usually located immediately above the gold PCI contacts (GPU side of the board).

at most I can just get the EK-FC9750

The one I really want is the Aquacomputer block and they show my card as reference as well.

Ok so the story is, for those who are in the same boat. There's two reference boards.

The 7970/7950 which the 7950 uses the 7970 pcb board with a serial of 109-C38637-xx (xx is revision number)

and there's the straight 7950 reference board with a serial of 109-C38137-xx (xx is revision number)
