HTC Desire 816: Beautiful Design, Flagship Performance & Incredible Value
"Barcelona, Spain, February 24, 2014 – HTC, a global leader in mobile innovation and design, has today unveiled the first model in its ambitious 2014 mid-range portfolio. The HTC Desire™ 816 distils elements of the internationally-acclaimed design DNA of HTC’s flagship HTC One® family, with a vibrant, modern colour palate and quality materials that give the HTC Desire range its own familiar, yet distinctive flavour. Demonstrating HTC’s obsessive focus on incredible design, both inside and out, the HTC Desire 816 packs an advanced feature set that makes it one of the best value smartphones ever introduced by HTC."
You've heard HTC executives talk recently about focusing more on the mid-tier market, and some have mistakenly thought this meant HTC would release a flood of cheap phones. Nothing could be further from the truth: the Desire 816 is the first of our new approach to the mid tier marker, where beautiful design meets powerful technology and innovative software, all in an affordably-priced package. There are no "budget" compromises with this phone.

Looks nice and sounds nice, but after HTC's ditching of the DesireHD I wont buy another one of their phones.
They do look nice though compared to the S5

I just want a 4.3 inch one
I hope they bring one out this year.. and not like they did with the one mini, reduce it's specs by quite the amount... I can understand the display res, because 1080p on 4.3 is overkill anyway but cpu etc...?!
