$1300 USD for Chrome OS Laughing

Some people are saying it is very sluggish. I have to lulz here, as both OS X and this are sluggish on i5s and i7s, while an iPad 3 with ARM is smooth as baby's ass.

Why don't they just put a better screen in the 250$ ARM Chromebook and call it a day?

The only use case for a Chromebook I see is a "browser computer" for my parents.

For that price you are in Surface Pro territory. Which, while not the most portable thing due to the battery life.. Is at least super functional and has a smaller form factor.
