The Game Overview
WildStar™ infuses amazing stylized art with the latest technology to create a stunning visual experience. Set on an alien world, WildStar delivers a wild adventure filled with mystery as you fight to stake your claim among the ruins of an advanced civilization, and experience an unprecedented level of exploration and discovery that allows you to play the way you want to play.
Game sounds absolutely awesome, love also the art style and the locations. There is raids for hardcore players, not some dumbed down shit for casual console bro´s, 20 man and 40man !. Im really waiting this one, maybe this is first MMO after WoW that will satisfy me (played wow from the release until Mists Of Derparia). Sad that Blizzard killed WoW.
its game for hardcore fanbase ( well atleast endgame, pretty sure they are targeting far more than that.. but today devs seem to look at wow and see streamlined easy mmorpg ( even if hardmode raids are hard ) and forget that wow started as pretty hardcore game focused on raiding , so thats one thing wildstar got right ) and they are planing monthly content patches at least monthly solo story instance , pretty sure it will be sub based
Subscriptions are a death sentence these days. Buy-to-play seems more sensible.
If people doesnt have 13 dollars per month for game, then its better start to quit gaming. It also keeps the most derp console bro´s away from the game, since it requires credit card. What i have heard about the game, it would pretty much impossible to add everything promised without monthly fee.
GW2 seems to be doing quite alright for itself, and that one's development was surely on the more costly side.
We've seen time and time again that subscription based games are simply not viable these days, unless you are WoW or EVE. Other MMOs are converted either into f2p or b2p one-by-one to simply stay afloat.
I agree that subs would keep away the less desirable elements of the internet, but that doesn't change the fact that subscriptions these days are suicide for a game.
GW2 doesnt have any end game for PVE players tho (leveling is the end game content ), GW has always had its own fan base mainly PVP players. To make succesfull MMO, you need very good end game content for both sides, that is all what matters, and for that you need money a.k.a subscription to cover production costs. This is why every MMO after WoW has pretty much failed, because they have poorly designed or shitty end game content. I dont know for the rest, but i love raiding and i love that its hard (nothing beats the feel when there is 20-40 awesome players and together fighting some very hard boss, which feels nearly impossible at start a.k.a pre nerf lady vashj in WoW ).

Surprised you held out that long after that. The Gruul nerf already pissed me off beyond belief; spent hours figuring all the good fights out and then not that long after they all got nerfed for the idiot crowd. Gruul *was* awesome. As were Lurker, Vashj, all of TK, RoS/Council/Illidan in BT, all of MH (SP was just crap straight from the start, fights were either piss easy or plain broken, Al'ar wasn't broken but SP was in some places). And then they all got smacked with a nerf bat so hard that I don't think we ever bothered doing them with a full raid at all times again. Always a couple of people down and once geared up a bit more, more than that. And that's not even taking into account the agony and epicness of coordinating 40 people instead of just 25.
And then we finished TBC, knew we'd have to wait 6 months for the next expansion (and Blizzard wasn't going to do new content so fuck that) so we all quit. Came back for WotLK, got sick of what they did to Naxx, arguably the greatest raid instance the game ever had (between Naxx and TK for me) and most of us quit within the first few weeks again.
I wonder if this game will have some of that glory - and keep it. Every other MMO is exactly what WoW started becoming during TBC, which is why I cannot be bothered with them anymore. WAR had such potential as well - not in the least because of its collision detection, which made PvP tanking not just possible, but fantastic. But nope, WoW route there as well.
The WOTLK derp Naxx was hilarious, we ran it through with previous expansion Tier 6 combined with some quest blue gear (Vanilla Naxx first boss was harder than all combined in derp WOTLK Naxx ). It still was pretty good expansion, loved heroic Lich King battle. After that shit hit the fan hard, cataclysm was clearly made for console bro´s, and then Mists Of Derparia. Dont even want to know what derpness Blizzard will release next for WoW.
This looks just so good, its like WoW in space without any mainstream derpness (atleast they said so that raids will be hardcore). Might be the very first MMO after WoW, that would have some changes to survive.
I bet tho that if you dont like WoW, you dont like this.
its fun how "some people" here bash TESO like its the worst piece of crap ever invented. But then praise THIS cheap ass pos looking mmo like its the second coming of mmo paradise lol.
I don't care about teso, not really anyway, but compared to wildstar ... i mean ... seriously ... wtf ?

Some people like raiding, and this game seems to do it as good or better than WoW (atleast they have said its gonna be good). End game is what not a single MMO has done properly since WoW (there needs to be good PVE content, not all doesnt like PVP).
Its funny that you come bash here, and you like MMO´s like Defiance.
its not so much bashing, as wondering, how you, for example, keep spamming the teso thread about how bad it looks, how cheap and ugly and shitty etc etc, yet at the same time, you praise this turd (imo) like its a godsend gift or something.
it just seems a "little bit" odd.
And what has me liking defiance to do with anything ? I'm not fanboy-ing around, am i ?

Well you can clearly see in the recent gameplay videos, that this is like on completely whole different level than the "AAA title" Elder Scrolls online (animations, models etc..). Everything looks just so fluid and nice, not to mention the end game seems to be really a gift from the gods. Wildstar does have cartoony WoW style, which is gonna cause lots of bro tears (you either like it or not).
Elder Scrolls Online looks like Morrowind, and that is not really acceptable even for MMO. Everything looks just so bland and cheap "amateurish".
Yeah but anyway, its all about matter of taste, everyone has its own

because there are 5 shity pvp mmorpgs every year, and 1 every 3 years for pve, funny isnt it,when most mmos were pve originally
we had/have wow, pve game 13+ mlns at some point, then we had age of conan, pve game, switched to pvp few months before release, god knows why they changed direction, it ruined the game, there were so many known raiding guilds in aoc, but content was broken and put under locks, not finished/fixed in time, everyone left, after that there was only rift, which is good game, and still one of very few to hold sub model, i wont even bother naming every pvp focused mmorpg
