The old raptor 150GB in my HTPC recently crapped out so I put my backup 7200RPM 200GB drive in there until I received the other drives that I was RMA'ing (2x300GB raptors and 1x2TB 7200RPM) Now that I've received the new drives, I was considering simply cloning the 200GB drive to one of the 300GB raptors. Since I have never done this before, I was curious as to what software y'all might recommend.

I just don't want to have to fuck with reinstalling everything. That, and I despise having to remove almost all of my memory so that I can install windows vista and vista sp1.

What is this "Google" of which you speak? I don't see what a number has to do with searching for things.

Seriously though, I know that there are loads of different utilities, but I was looking for more of a recommendation from some people that might have actually used one. Of course, this is the Hump, what should I expect? Help? That's actually quite laughable in-and-of-itself.

Perhaps one day I'll learn...perhaps.

And thanks for nothin'. Cool Face

Then I guess I'll just have to go plunder some booty instead.

Oh, and thanks for the recommendations. I won't listen to any of them.

Clonezilla is the only software so far that can clone Windows 8 on gpt partition. Kudos to it.

I used Clonezilla and it worked beautifully! Thanks for the tips guys.

I also used it on my MAME cab to clone to a new 2TB drive and it worked very nicely on that as well!

Thanks for the info, I installed Windows 8 recently so it's good to know this will work on it.
