damn it! my PALIT 460GTX Sonic Platinum 1GB DDR5 started giving colored dots today, after nearly 2.5years of 24/7 work.. well fuck, it didn't even last 3 years, and the warranty is just 2 years
switched to my old (repaired after it gave up too) 8800GTX 768MB and gave the 460 to a repair shop, to try and fix it, if they can't, I'll probably buy
PALIT GTX660 OC 2GB D5 250$
or
ASUS GTX660-DC2O-2GD5 260$

hmm wonder about
SAPPHIRE HD7870 XT 2G BULK 270$

wonder for how long those will manage..

better get the Gigabyte 660 TI OC, Gigabyte HD 7950 WF3 or Sapphire HD 7950 Vapor-X
should all be below 300 as well and a lot faster than what you mentioned.
now that we know the next gen console specs and ATI/Nvidia's plans for 2013 I wouldnt worry so much about how long they will manage, lol

forgot you wrote dollars not €.
since lately most corporations let europeans pay the same $ price in €, I start to forget the vast differences there actually are. I paid 250€ for my 660 TI OC, thats 340$.
Cant you get them cheaper from western european countries, even with shipping you'll pay a lot less.

Best check the Toms charts for all cards:
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2012-vga-gpgpu/19-Tom-s-Hardware-Index-A-Entry,2975.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2012-vga-gpgpu/19-Tom-s-Hardware-Index-B-Performance,2976.html
http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2012-vga-gpgpu/19-Tom-s-Hardware-Index-C-Extreme,2977.html

and find the one that has the best price/performance in your area (Sapphire 7850 and Gigabyte 660 sound like good deals)

Moose, the X1900 series is from 2005, so it's been more like 8 years since it came out. The HD4800 series is from 2008, so it's been more like 5 years since it came out. Razz
