As far as sci-fi goes I thought "Fringe" was amazing and had a great ending despite a few missteps near the end. Def. one of the best sci-fi shows I've ever seen along with "The X-Files".

farscape definitely. Fringe is a really good show, but it does suffer from the modern day scifi shit culture.
I also recommend Babylon 5 if you don't mind older shows.

The first season of continuum was alright if you want sci fi, got renewed for another season due out in April this year.
