Ok, the subject might be a bit too much, however TV shows and movies are being deleted the same day they are uploaded, sometimes within a few hours.
Astraweb, my once stable provider, are more or less useless in that area now, at least for scene releases. To my knowledge games still seem to stay up.
Anyone have a usenet provider, that dosent delete per request?
Or what are the alternatives? Getting a seedbox and start using torrents perhaps.

I've been using torrents for years - and if you can deal with the slight delay in releases, it's very convenient and efficient.

Thing about torrents is im kinda worried about my IP being exposed (hence the seedbox), the delay i can live with. Any way to completely hide your ip, when using torrents? No way i want the danish anti-piracy association knocking on my door with a lawsuit

To be honest, I've never worried much about that - since I've been behind a hardware firewall most of the time.

But I probably should start taking it seriously - even if I don't pirate stuff that much anymore.

I'm sure there's something to be done, but I don't know what exactly.

You can try using vpn. It will give you some kind of anonymity but you will probably suffer from a much slower download speed. I don't know how much safer it will be. There are some vpn providers saying that they don't keep logs of their users' activity but it's probably bullshit.

VPN is most likely not a good solution. The thing about anti-piracy is that it's very hard to guage how serious they're taking it.

It's a cultural thing that can change a lot in a very short time.

Here in Denmark, the vast majority of the people I know are extremely relaxed when it comes to piracy - but I do meet the occasional anti-pirate and a tiny handful of them don't seem to be hypocritical about it.

But it can be big business to hunt pirates and in these desperate times, it's probably prudent to take precautionary measures.

I thought a Seedbox provided you with anonymity?

It probably does, I was just wondering if it was possible to hide your IP, if you didnt go for a seedbox. Usenet is easy, just browse and download nzb. Seedbox seems like more work.
Would really prefere to stick to usenet, but if it continues down this road, it will become more or less useless at some point

Y U No???? use Sickbeard?

If you are using it, just make certain that you have the search interval set to as low a value as is possible and then just let it run all of the time (it should run in the background, but it does not install itself as a service so you'll have to copy a shortcut to your startup folder, if using windows). I use it and get almost all of the shows I watch, that are being DMCA'd incessantly (Arrow, Fringe, etc.).

You sure it was a porno parody and not the real show? You can tell by the acting and plot, if it was any decent, it's the porn parody. Laughing

Make sure you only use private trackers which has SSL support.
