Now it's not as much about Steam - it's more about Origin.
Why the hell is it so hard for clients like these to include the reason for being down (or atleast tell that its not just one person who have problem but loads) in their error messages?
Would it be so hard to include a livestream of info in their clients rather than "an unknown error has occured"?

shitloads of new stuff in my pc. Cant keep track of it all.

It worked the first time I clicked it, because it showed all but the store as offline, then it didn't work when I refreshed it, weird.

EA's obviously 'fixed' it

It cant be my end of course, I am gonna blame EA because of that they did to Dragon Age

That's for Steam obviously

But thats not it - I know and many of you know where to find the info - but it's far from everyone.

As Garus said its ofc based on the servers being down - but since they've got status reports/forums that stay up - it really should be possible for them to include their status message in the client. Let the actual program connect to their server as it should - but at the same time connect to another server which sends reports on server status.

Same thing goes with the famous error 37 in diablo...proberbly one of the worst ever where it just says error 37 rather than telling people the servers are down.

Edit: Was btw entertaining to read how people swore they would never ever buy a dice game again (in origins forum) while when you checked the poster he already had bought everything Razz ...and this was cos origin was down. Lots of people actually blamed Dice despite the fact that BF3 is just one game of many using origin. lol
