Heh so a new Typing of the Dead made it's way to PC, been a few years since they made one from House of the Dead 2 if I remember correctly.
(And the others after that were not released on PC at all but I could be wrong.)

EDIT: I played a bit of the normal Overkill on the Wii, not as good as the originals but the mechanics are still pretty much the same.
(Well duh, point and click on the zombie on the screen can't really be changed much.)

I *just* saw this as part of the Halloween Bundle! Talk about coming right out of the friggin' blue, eh? No fanfare, no pomp, just... BAM! Take it. Take this awesomely bizarre game that is awesome! Very Happy I used to love the Dreamcast version of the original -- though this just rubs salt in the wounds of us PC gamers that didn't get the other ACTUAL House of the Dead Overkill Sad Hell, we haven't had a HotD game since HotD 3 back in 2002 Facepalm

HOTD: Overkill is included in the game. You basically switch between two gameplay modes (typing and original). Smile

Indeed it's a bit poorly worded but it includes PS3's "The House of the Dead: Overkill - Extended Cut", which is also the reason it's 10GBs. Smile

edit now the title of the thread indicates the fact Smile

Could companies please space out their resolution-locked PC releases? This stuff takes time you know.

Just bought it and installing! Can't absolutely wait, watched some youtube vids and it looks totaly awesome.

EDIT: Damn this is some good shit.
Played through first 3 chapters, people seemed to whine in discussion how the third is so much harder than first two but I really didn't see it.

Ranked 650-700 on the leaderboard across all 3 chapters on first tries on hardest difficulty.

How do you unlock Hardcore? Already typing like it was Hardcore so would be nice to have it, I would assume it has a seperate leaderboard aswell.

For those who don't know, on "Hardcore" you are forced to type spaces, colons and if you make a typo the word resets so you have to start it all over.

Also some pretty hilarious texts, like a granny walking towards you and you have to type "Old people suck" to kill it

ohhhh Starforce..i think that was a very old name for a protection thing...i think <<..never heard of CEG

Still....WAITING....people are now focused with Football Manager 2014 instead of FIFA 14's RELOADED ISO release (a possible release i mean..) instead of these kinds of games..

So i've downloaded a torrent of the game that just comes from the Steam version...The fun fact?,it Starts the STEAM APP (a corner of my screen shows the typical "press Shift+Tab for community .." and that might cause me to get BANNED from Steam and lose my library of games...!!!..ofcourse,i don't want that to happen..

The root folder (from the unrar) has 2 folders:

-Steam
-Typing Of The Dead Overkill1 (yes, with a 1 in the end)

The game works perfect!,60FPS,no crack needed and fast loading times (except when it's about checking internet shit wich i don't want)

Is there a way to prevent the game to launch Steam to keep my account safe?..
