There are many people over here who have 10mbit connections on either fiber or vdsl. I believe that those who are pupils at universities have access to 100/1000mbit but they often share it with other pupils. Also, some home users have access to 100mbit but it costs the double of 10mbit. It's cheap but absolutely not free.

Yeah, i've got a 10mbit which is really good for the UK.
We are way behind the scandinavian countries when it comes to internet access though. We're getting there, slowly.

Ok, I live in Sweden. Upgraded my 10mbit to 100. For 10 I paid 32EUR and for 100 I pay 60EUR. Some providers offer 10mbit even cheaper than i had.
I have my 100 for myself.

Damnit, you Sweeds are so lucky. 10mbit, 100mbit so cheap, so easy... pfff....... 10mbit is enough to be supplied like a fag, i know so many people who would love to fill 10/100mbits with the best and newest things.

man if i lived in sweden i'd be raking in the cash from game servers. at 60$ a month you can easily put a bit upfront for for blade servers then have 10-20 comps running off one line. the comps wont depreciate that much either so you could easily afford to buy a spare line and upgrade etc.
