The film will be produced by Shigeru Miyamoto, Representative Director and Fellow of Nintendo and Avi Arad, Chairman of Arad Productions Inc., who has produced many mega hit films.

The film will be produced by Nintendo and Arad Productions Inc., and directed by Wes Ball. The film will be co-financed by Nintendo and Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc., with more than 50% financed by Nintendo. The theatrical distribution of the film will be done worldwide by Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc.


Cant wait for the first trailer in about 3 years lol.

Well its Japanese. Can't exactly expect mature. While it happens, it's a rare thing indeed. And Zelda is too big to be locked to a adult audience.

That's because Atlus is the publisher. They're making a lot of mature games where nakama power and friendship is not the theme, like 99% of the other Japanese devs for mainstream games. Many games start with interesting stories, but when they're approaching the end it's all friendship and love for the world that comes out of their mouth. Atlus is different. Radiant historia, Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, Catherine. But i don't know any other such major Publisher in Japan these days.

I know Square Enix just published FFXVI, but that was an anomaly in my eyes. It's mature, but a few years ago they published a censored FFVII where they said the more grotesque scenes of the original is not good for the modern audience.
