mrt, since you are in a mood, what would you think of merging consecutive posts together? For example, consecutive posts made within 1 hour of each other would be merged with the previous? This can solve several problems, such as "oops double post" "oops tripple post", sausje's problem with the sexy selection spamming, etc.
What do you think?

Oh no, keep them unread. Threads don't disappear in 1 hour, so the "damage" would be minimal and negligent. After one hour, it would be a regular new post, so the thread would be bumped.

Nah, that would be bad, as often there are one or two members who follow news on a game and update the thread, sometimes months between each post. No, this is only meant as a solution for several replies within a limited time. For example, quoting one person, then quoting another, then another. Why work hard with edits, when the system can do it automatically.
