So I recently upgraded my system but now I have a strange problem. I have USB3 sticks and HDDs, but when I copy files to those via a USB3 interface the Windows info field thingie goes bonkers. Let's say I transfer a 20GB file, the speed given is waaaay over specs (300MB/s+) for example. The problem is that I can't see the actual speed and the actual time remaining. It goes to "0 secs remaining" withing seconds (since it transferred the files with awesome speeds) and then proceeds to transfer the files at the actual speeds but I can't see how long it'll take.
It's a bit of a strange story, but simply put I want a small app which has a shell extension I can use to transfer files. So I want to rightclick on a file, select "copy file with app X to drive Y" and copy it. Something like opening an FTP client (the external drive being the server in this exsmple), but a much simpler version.

I know of TC, but I didn't know it had shell extensions. I'll try it thanks.

Well, TC replaces the cumbersome and crappy windows file copying nonsense. I don't know if it actually has shell extensions for what you're looking for. To me TC is a natural replacement of Windows Explorer (and all that comes with it incl. shell extensions).

Yep it's only with NTFS, I'll check what that caching thing is. Sadly my TV does not support exFAT, so I'm stuck with NTFS.
