Rad game is rad.
Playing the beta right now, game is pretty damn fun.
Basically a F2P MMO-style tank game. You get your own tank which you upgrade and eventually switch out for a better tank. Different tech-trees for the different classes - Light Tanks, Medium Tanks, Heavy Tanks, Tank Destroyers and SPGs (Basically, artillery).
They were giving keys out at http://www.mmorpg.com/giveaways.cfm/offer/196/World-of-Tanks-Beta-Key-Giveaway.html Not sure if they will be getting more keys.

Note that the high ping is cause I was downloading stuff in the background. Usually it sits around 80.

I started playing this game too! One great tip is that you can quit a battle after your tank gets blown up, and start another game with another tank of yours. You'll get the xp of your previous battle once it ends and the results will be shown at the bottom right (when you are out of battle).
This way you get more exp/credits and makes the early cannon fodder days more bearable.

Clragon, you do get alot less credits and XP (per match) for doing that though.
Steelblade, no idea what you're talking about. The key giveaways just need you to click a button and you have your key.

I don't understand a fuck of this game. Where is the fucking tutorial?
I join a battle, and they were all huge tanks and I was a mini-tank. How the fuck should I win then?
Any tips?

are you sure? I know you get less exp for dying, but when you are tier one scout tank, you are likely to die every game anyways.

it's hard at the beginning, reading through their forums it seems that you should upgrade radio and scout enemy tanks for your team's artillery. you get exp for other people's hits on the tanks you scout I think.

Aeonfast, do Recruit Battles until you get a Tier 3 vehicle. Recruit battles are limited to T1 and 2 vehicles, so everyone's on the same level.

Extremely tough game at the start, getting absolutely shitcanned by powerhouse tanks - even in Recruit battles - but it's also remarkably fun! Out of six games I've only managed to destroy TWO enemy tanks, both light tanks like mine, but still fun ^_^ Right now spending all my exp/cash on upgrading my initial tank.

i got banned for saying "heil hetzer" in game aparently its a nazi slogan. someone must have reported me and ban with no warning or anything i had a pzk iv aswell :@
started a new account yesterday and went tank destroyers this time hetzer is fun and looks cool

Way better than i could ever imagined when I heard about the game for the first time. yes it is extremely difficult and it will even get worse when you get out of recruit battles and realise your light tank will pretty much bounce off everything ( heck even the first 2 "real" tank destroyers will just bounce like mad).
Oh and get more than one tank ASAP so you can keep playing even though one/ or more tanks in in combat. There is no loss for leaving the battle as soon as you die

Got my T-26 and I'm finally starting to rack up some kills.... at least in the initial battles. "Real" tanks cost a friggin' fortune, so I'm not looking forward to the grind for that.

Well you do gain 150 gold ever day which can be exchanged for credits. 1 gold = 40 credits so that's an easy 60k every day. Also you gain more and more money later on.

No idea what you're talking about. I can easily take out light and early medium tanks with my Marder II.
I'm pretty sure there is a penalty for leaving a game even after you've died. I played a match with my Marder II, and when I usually get 4-5k, after leaving the match with one kill I didn't evenen get 2000 credits.
Man, crew skills make a huge difference. With my 70% gunner, I can pretty much snipe tanks halfway across the map.

That was from a game where I left. Trust me it makes no difference staying in the game. And about the tank destroyers, to be honest I haven't tried any of the german ones so I can't speak for them but both the su-76 and su-85b have major problems penetrating any front armor of any medium tanks aswell as sides sometimes.

And yeah, definately don't attack tanks head on with the TDs. Lie in wait in bushes and wait for them to engage your teammates. Then hit them right in the side/rear.

Upgrades start off being very cheap, and you'll be able to get an upgrade or two after each match. The higher up the tiers you go, the longer it takes.

this game made me sad. i hit a tank twice, did like 25% damage, then blindsided by one shot from some douche i couldnt see, bam, dead, see ya later
