yeah watch that whole segment. Loved it. wish i could download the full doc  it makes a lot of interesting points (that we pretty much already know about) but it does it in such a way that it's entertaining and pretty well executed.
I seriously wish that there were more of these with the same style and the same translation

its a great clipshow of everything that is wrong with western consumerism and corporate propaganda and its war machine. I may not be a fan of Best Korea, but i hate the western way of life far more.

They have a lot of very good points, all of which have been brought up by people in "the West" numerous times, with the added bonus of most of them not trying to convince you a starving neo-Stalinist state is actually not such a bad idea. It's hard to ignore who's made it and not see the hypocrisy, especially when they start talking about lying politicians, tyranny and homeless people.
Also, there is no one single western way of life -- as long as you don't hurt anyone, you can be and do pretty much whatever you want. It's fascinating to me how you can hate that more than what's going on in North Korea.

Also people who actually lived in a communist regime say that - i know i did half my life. You have no idea what you are talking about, yet you dispense your bullshit aggresively from your comfy house in Geneva. There is no "inbetween" a totalitarian, stalinist regime and western democracies, you poor ignorant. I can think of all the things i went through under Ceausescu, and find nothing i wish back, nothing good i can't have now 10 times better - except for my youth and my health, but that was not the communists' merit anyway.
Anyway, i know i'm barking at the wrong door, you're one of the "smart people" who know better. The fourth i encountered on this forum, and second in my top four (so far).

That "propaganda" documentary pointed out some glaring flaws of western society. Doesn't mean I want to live in a communist country or have communist influence in the western society. It does mean we have a lot of work to do to get rid of the over-the-top consumerism, celebrity-worship, hyper-capitalism, shallowness and replace with something more productive, more rewarding and ultimately more humane.
