Seven delinquents, seven sins, and only one way out. Just hired for a new, mysterious job, you soon discover that this isn’t your normal prison gig. You’ve been entrusted with the care of a crew of girls whose sins have damned their souls to Hell and an eternity of punishment... Their only hope of salvation is for you to recognize their unique histories, and to guide them along the path to redemption. Navigate through the four trials of the Redemption Program, and motivate your crew of delinquents to learn the skills to redeem themselves.

Mind Your Manners: These girls aren’t your typical RPG team –they have minds of their own! To defeat the convicts doing their time in Hell’s dungeons, you’ll need to listen to your team’s desires, and choose your path to victory from the ever-evolving repertoire of skills, spells, and combo attacks that they want to use.
Touching Gameplay: Connect with the girls, and uncover each of their unique personalities through one-on-one motivational sessions . Fulfill the girls’ special requests to discover more about their interesting, and often dark pasts.
Quote:
Criminal Girls: Invite Only is a perverted, uncomfortable crack at a role-playing game. You find the trappings of a standard turn-based adventure here, from the incessant random battles to the monumental bosses with seemingly endless hit points. The multi-floored dungeons and rich progression system can last you dozens of hours, but with whipping the sinful desires of young girls acting as one of the core hooks, it’s difficult to take Criminal Girls seriously.

from what i understood on that tononet twitter account it will be censored with that pink fog same as Vita version (as only uncesored one is the old 2013 jpn only version) - but who knows we are on PC there might be mods
If it's just the pink fog with nothing actually cut that's not too bad, it's unfortunate how sensitive some publishers are to a little backlash these days from some small group who aren't even part of their player base or how to say.
EDIT: I just dislike content cuts and alterations in general whether it's a game like this or something tamer like that silly butt slap pose that got adjusted in Street Fighter V.

The way I see it, every life is a pile of good things and bad things. The good things don’t always soften the bad things, but vice versa, the bad things don’t always spoil the good things and make them unimportant.
Pretty sure there's a huge market for both legitimate and unofficial "lewd" games on handheld and mobile, not just the Japanese market either.
(I don't really have a handheld "console" or newer generation mobile phone myself though so no personal "research" here in how valid that statement is but I'm pretty sure it's a very popular category of interactive "games". )
EDIT: Hell the Steam released VN titles are also growing a lot though a large part of it is pretty poor in terms of actual quality.
(What is Valves actual stance on that anyways, some games offer fully uncensored patches on the community forums whereas that should clearly be against the license agreement when publishing on Steam.)
well gameplay-wise its the usual turnbassed jRPG with anime girls fighting hordes of monsters There is plenty of people who likes these , just look at nepu games ...
... but yeah there is that pervy "motivation" mechanic to keep your party follow your orders
11th January 2017 release date, still nice to see the Steam page up.
(And now I guess all that's left is censorship info or well if it's just that fog effect that doesn't matter too much and could probably be modded out too with a bit of work.)
(Not that there's any nudity in the game as such and well the fog thing actually makes some things appear more suggestive as a result. )
Hey there doods, I'm happy to announce that Criminal Girls: Invite Only on Steam is now live! I want to give a special shout out to all our beta testers that helped make it happen!
I'm aware that there are many questions surrounding this release in particular, and I wanted to go over a few things just to make absolutely certain that our customers and fans know what they're getting and hear it from us directly:
Is the game censored? The Steam version is an identical port of the localized PlayStation Vita release of the game. All edits (including to the artwork) present in that version will be present in this version.
Will there be an uncensor patch? Not officially, no. But if fans wanted to make a patch or otherwise modify game files, that is fine. That will not be prohibited.
What's the status of Criminal Girls 2? Still looking into it! NISA (and NIS, of course) has a very busy lineup this year.
Thank you for reading! If you're curious about the thinking that goes into these kinds of decisions, more can be found on our Criminal Girls 2 blog post[www.nisamerica.com]. And if anyone has any trouble with their game, please post in the Troubleshooting forums! I will also be in the game's group chat for a little bit today, so hop in to ask me any questions!
Well it looked to be a texture effect so a quick replacement with a blank file or alpha channel for transparency would have taken care of it, QuickBMS seem to have been used in this case as a generic unpacker and repacker archive.
Probably works on other data too if anything else was edited, seems some sound samples were adjusted a little bit for example but that's being worked on too.
At a guess the "motivation" was a bit too happy sounding in the original so it was toned down, Steam version far as I understood is mostly just "censored" because they ported over the existing handheld version without any edits so it got retained in the PC version but they allow you to edit the files at your own risk.
(IE the game crashing or your little brother / sister happens upon you playing the game and promptly tells everyone else about it. )
Sin317-"im 31 years old and still surprised at how much shit comes out of my ass actually ..."
SteamDRM-"Call of Duty is the symbol of the true perfection in every aspect. Call of Duty games are like Mozart's/Beethoven's symphonies"
deadpoetic-"are you new to the cyberspace?"
Signature/Avatar nuking: none (can be changed in your profile)
