Okay My 80 year old neighbour bought an ipad Since it is his birthday tomorrow I thought I would download a shitload ebooks for him to read as he likes to read a lot.
And they are all currently in mobi format on my pc 5.5 gigs of them.
SO here I thought this is easy I will simply stick the ipad in my pc and transfer all the files over but nooooo that is not possible. The only way to do it it seems is to fucking email each fucking file over you fucking piece of shit apple crap! ffffuuuuu.

I thought calibre was for converting ebook files into various formats ? wil it enable me to transfer files from pc to ipad ?

Don't know about Apple stuff, but I use it to transfer to my android tablet and kobo. try reading it's faqs.

What the fuck you talking about? Took me 10 seconds to find out Amazon's Kindle app for iPad supports the MOBI format. So just download that, then open iTunes and transfer your books from there.  |

I am all for a bit of apple bashing, but even the most simple of people must realize that in order to do this (with Apple) you need to install iTunes.
Jesus fucking wept, can't you just install iTunes and use calibre.
it's it really this complicated with an iPad? I thought Apple shit was supposed to be simple.

Iam sorry iam not a pro apple basher But Iam used to simply be able to dump files onto a device by dragging and dropping and read them with any app you would like this is something that is simply not allowed with this ipad it seems.

You can register your own Apple account and download Kindle app with that. Then just sign out.
"Read them with any app you would like" - right, as if this is true about Android. Every app out there supports your particular "MOBI" format.

apple products are designed for sheep and the elderly and the toddlers. you get an idevice you can learn how to use it in like 5 minutes. everything you need to know. 
so its understandable a non-idiot would have trouble with his first idevice. i mean you're exposed to windows all your life and one day they throw osx at you.
but leo tried to help him and he raged like a windows user.... so yes... mental handicap

Thanks guys you are all awesome and super intelligent. But yes I finally got it to work it took half a day which could have been done in 5 minutes if it was an android device but never mind! Thanks for all your awesome support. At least That old dude has enough ebooks now to read until he dies.
Edit: I did post this in the bitching session so i could bitch while trying to figure it out.
